That is an interesting comment you made about it being not so much about the death penalty as it is about one's own convictions. It's interesting to think it about it from the angle that it can be about anything that anyone has any real strong feelings about. Substitute any controversial subject matter and it will work the same.
Ask yourself this question: How far am I willing to go to stand up for my convictions?
