seems when you mix the grey in ...
pieces seem more natural and undetectable than straight colored
pieces ... its almost as if you think .. they wouldn't have grey
in them if they were fake

B.A.

Those are some great shots! Next time (if possible) can you take a picture of the unit from the underside so we can see the actual landscape as it were? I can picture it, but a pic is worth a thousand words.I might want to try this with thin skin.

Thanks
Ray

Very nice pictures.. Nice and zoomed up, and it looks natural.. Ive seen some very good pics here that show how natural the front looks.. however, I know ive said this a lot... but its a very similiar style that has been repeated time and again.. The piece looks great, the front lace is invisible, etc.. I already know how natural the hair and hairline can look on these hair systems.. But i dunno, it appears that all of the pictures are like clones of each other.. Zoomed up hairlines with longish hair brushed back.. I am just curious why there aren't more photos of people who have short hairstyles or different hairstyles??.. and pictures of how well the system blends all around with short hair. I am in no way knocking the style,, It looks great in the pictures and on a lot of people, but why is it that this style is so dominant with hair systems.. Is other styles that hard to achieve?

No Pal, other hairstyles are not hard to achieve. I have a short system, no longer than an inch all over. It looks great. I don't have a digital camera to post & don't have the time or patience to do it otherwise. The only way to know for sure is to just do it. No matter how many pictures of how many different hairstyles you see, it will never do justice to what you can see on a real live system.

I know, I agree with you a 120 percent.. Just was curious why everyone with a camera seems to have that type of hairstyle.. It was just a question out of curiosity more then anything.. I hope that some people who have different types of hairstyles one day shares their photos with us.. It would just be nice to see different looks and possible styles.

Hey Paladin if you want to see some variety in the hairstyles you should get your new piece ordered so you can post pics of your different short style.

Yeah, ill definitely take pictures when I get my new system.. Ive already taken pics and posted them of my current system.. Not everyone likes the style.. but its different. MB, your pictures are reasuring because it is blended very nicely on the sides, and its pretty short. So far yours has been the only ones ive seen that show good blending all around with shorter hair. Hopefully ill be able to contribute similiar results.

I agree with Paladin, the blending of your piece with your real hair is just amazing, especially since your hair is pretty short. You (and Toplace) did an excellent job

I agree that the pictures look great. However, I find that that angle is the easiest for making a system look real. I'm tall and most people are seeing my hair not from slightly diagonally down, but looking up at my forehead from below such that the hair is angled out of my forhead perpendicular to their line of sight. More simply, they're looking from an angle such that they're looking a the front of the lace dead-on from the edge. I find this to be a more difficult angle for making hair look real. Could you snap a picture from this angle? Just tilt your head back slightly. If possible, thanks. TF

PaladinX, have you not ordered your unit yet??? For real????? For God sakes, put things in perspective!! Any hair you shave will grow back if it's meant to be! 165$ is a blessing for anyone who wears hair and wants to look good (ie throw away that unit when it fades or sheds). You have gathered all the info you need...you will more as you go along but your standing on the edge of the diving board telling everyone you're looking forward to a swim...but there you stand...
Go ahead and jump. The water is warm. Your friends are all in the pool and will keep you afloat and help you if you get water up your nose. I have no doubt that you will make that new unit look great...how do I know this? From listening to you (yes, you are at times very obcessed...but so aren't many of us) you know what looks real. You know what looks fake. You know what you are looking for in a style...therefore, you are miles and miles ahead of those po'foke going into the ACME Hair Replacement Center...

LOL, timb I have to say that was a good analogy. I am just continuing to read the board, and look foward to seeing this new thin skin.. All my concerns and all was about getting a full hair system or not.. I am most likely going to order another partial.. tanman put it very wisely.. ride it till the wheels fall off... sooner or later i wont have to worry about shaving my head or not.. The system I have now is still in very good shape.. So I really didnt feel an urge to rush.. Im waiting to see this thin skin, then ill decide whether to order this or lace..

Re: Re: style ?

Timb.. part of the reason why i drove everyone crazy with questions, and constantly dwelling on certain things was because I didnt want to rush into action.. I still have a good amount of my own hair left.. A guy on here named Eric told me about prothik, a cosmetic concealer.. it has been working well for me, takes very little time to apply.. So im just going to wait till my hair thins out a little more before going to a full unit.. And ill probably go with the .12 base, or lace base... and 18 front.

Re: LB

June 26 2008, 8:48 AM

Those of us who have been around here long enough know that PalX and Xeon Warrior Princess are the same person.

As for LB, his hair is the most realistic I have ever seen. Many years ago I went to see BA and get my first Toplace unit fitted and cut. As I was chatting with BA, LB came over and just like Bobby, I thought LB was just a guy with hair. Then BA drops the word that LB wears. I was just totally amazed with how real it looked. As we ate a great spaghetti dinner at BA's place, I kept staring at LB's hairline saying, "no way. There's no way that's a piece. Absolutely no way." It was that real looking.

cheers,
rm.
