Was out at a party snapping anonymous pics with the phone...real or not?

And the answer may never be known, because I may not know.

If anything, what would the density be to achieve that? Figure everyone is clued up on the hairline since there is so many great pics around here, so I was interested in the back, crown area.

Much too dark, I took the liberty of brightening it up for you, though to be honest I'd guess this is no wig, if it is ..its a full cap!

It is very possible to achieve this with a piece.

Who knows if it is or isn't- who cares. If this is what you want because it looks realistic to you, well, then create it.

If you want something like this DO NOT follow the generic advice oft given regarding ordering a 65% density.

This is more like a 55% body. Don't believe it? Order 65% and get thick thick hair.

MO:
I do have wireless in my office...but I take one day off during weekdays now. Trust me, I'm still putting in 60 plus hours per week. Gotta stomp out those nasty STDs.

I go thru spells on this forum where I am very active and attentive and then times where I am distracted and away...like most of us. Will be nice to meet many of you one day- hopefully at a convention- sounds like fun.

Re: too dark

Yea, like Gel said.

This would be very realistic indead.

Then again, thinning always looks real 'cause it is.

In order to achieve this, when ordering, you would designate about 50% in the #5 area of the order form.

The other areas (1,2,3,4 and 6) would be probably around 60% or even 65% if you want to make the thinning in area #5 more pronounced and your sides are fairly thick.

As far as the original question, in my opinion, that is not a piece in the picture unless it is a worn out one 'cause most people dont order them that way.

Bobby:

Yes, reg MD. Since taking over a private practice I began at as an "employee", I have never worked harder, longer and been paid less than even when I first got out of residency. I have no training in running a business- most docs don't. We are at the mercy of the 3rd party payers. I may spend 30 or 40 min with a patient with 6 problems and, eventually, if all goes well, I get that insurance check for 60$. When the rent, malpractice, health ins., loans, utilities and salary for staff is paid, there aint nothing left. I'm at a point where I may fold and join a big group or corp because the days of solo practice are of the past.

ya Bob but I would imagine the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area would be pretty high in terms of cost of living...I heard other places like Orlando and Tampa are pretty affordable places to live...I already got Walgreens from Flordia trying to sign me up lol...I might sign a one year contract and just see how it is...only thing that scares me are those hurricans down south.,

I've lived in FL for 10 years and Oakland County Michigan recently,
Michigan has a higher cost of living for sure.

Michigans' state government is historically one of the worst in the nation, and before anyone has anything to the contrary, do some research first.

The funny thing is, most people that live in SE Michigan have no idea that the quality of life is better just about anywhere else in America.

Just move people, and start enjoying a better quality of life.

Mo, you a pharmacist??? If so you know you can go on a daily supressive treatment to keep those genital sores from cropping up so often! But if you like, I will keep sending you the extra Valtrex samples- same unmarked envelope as always!!!

Bobby: Look at the SeaDoo XRT 215 supercharged, intercooled 3 seater. The kids will absolutely love it. I bet you'd use it more than the boat- so easy to drag around and launch. Keep in garage. FAST! Stable in Ocean too.

Maybe some day I will return to Maine and be a country doctor. Many days it seems like a good idea- then I remeber winter, all 6 months of it. Well, actually there is mud season in March and black fly season in May and mosquitoe season in June and July, Aug and Sept and Oct are great. I get too depressed when it starts getting dark at 4pm!!

If you think it's expensive there, try living here in CT. Or anywhere in the tri-state area. Or Cali for that matter. Yikes!

Re: too dark

good for you. Good career choice. You'll always have work and can live anywhere you like. I have a friend who is a 3rd generation pharmacist and he, like his dad and grandfather, is a compounding pharmacist. He is up the street from my practice and can make up a batch of anything. really helps me when I call with questions.

Unfortunately, the insurance industry and all their "prior authorization" requests (AKA: "we think it is too expensive...we are not in bed with that company so it is will cost us more that 3 cents...we are going to harass the doctor and make you, dear pharmacist, act as a social worker and paper pusher too...") make you and me and the patient wanna screem you %$#@%$#ers...all the while they bank excess revenue, raise copays, overpay CEOs and practice medicine without a license. welcome to reality.

It's MEMOREX!

October 25 2007, 11:41 AM

Psych......

Well, it's my Toplace. Pretty sure Sam had it figured out in the first post.

It's all transparent french, 70% density, all freestyle. Stock 10x8.

I used a cutting comb from Sally's Beauty Supply to get it to the point in the pic above, then I colored it using Just For Men Real Black(Jake, I thought you would have chimed in "that guys uses JFM"). Then I used Sam's method of thinning out the top with thinning shears and scissors, it was, uh, rather full on top. After that I kinda found the crown area and cut in the crown a little shorter all around.

You can see the original fullness of a 70% piece in the blond pic and what I was able to do to it thinning it out and kinda cutting in the crown. Actually, I think I took a little more hair out than I wanted to but this works great for short styles. I rotate units to match my growing hair, so this is as short as I go, I wouldn't think of going this short with less than about 68% IMO.

This was the fourth cut in I've done and the first without the robocutter.

I might go back to the robo just for the rough cut in, then break out the shears and razor comb. The nice thing about the robo is you can get a real precision cut if you know the exact lengths of the style you're trying to attain. LooksReal gave the specs of his cut lengths in that other thread of his, the robo would come in handy if you're not just winging it.

So when you say 70% stock, does that graduation from 70-65 or 75-70. That what my 69% all 1 density look like with a little graduation. Then try to thin it out with a brush overtime. I usually just get 1 density all around though. What do you guys do with the hairline? I see photos of the factory graduation and it look to thin for my likeing.

(ESniper)

Samester you usually like a higher density at your front w/ no grad right? Because you usually thin your base density down.

I always get all 70%. Might back it down to 68%, but that's as low as I would go for now.
