BA, thanks for continually bringing new media to the forum. It is much appreciated. Just imagine how different this man would look without the hair. IT makes a world of difference. Myabe I'll just bypass topper and go full cap from the get-go.
I do not wear a hairpiece (yet) and my advice, therefore, should never override that of an experienced wearer.
BA, by any chance, do you have any other angles of this guy's full cap? Gotta be honest with you, I am absolutely blown away by his hair. Never in my wildest dreams did I think such a natural and stylish look could be achieved with a wig.

E, I have to disagree with that opinion. The thing is wigs don't come like that. It takes proper template making, ordering right specs, and getting a good cut. I think the reason that full cap looks so realistic is because the sides are also part of the wig and are cut nicely, and the density and shape matches the hair all over. The problem i feel for some hair wearers is that the hair on top, doesn't match the density, style, shape and everything basically of the sides. Thats a major factor for wigs not to look its greatest.
Sester, why do you disagree with my opinion? All I said was that never in MY wildest dreams did I think such a natural and stylish look could be achieved lol. I didn't take a side as to whether they could or couldn't. It's just that I am blown away by how good it looks. Other then that, I wouldn't take my comment too seriously beyond that.
Also, I hear what you're saying, but I was referring to a full cap. Sorry, I should have mentioned that instead of calling it a "wig" as that is also a term given to toppers. Yes, I agree that proper template making and specs play a big part in how good the unit looks, but this guy's full cap has eliminated all doubts I have about the realism of full caps.
That really does look great !
Do you sleep in it ? And if so, do you have problems sleeping in it ? How far down does the base of the piece go in the back ?
Perhpas you want to share pic of template that I sent you along with the other two pics. This may help to answer question raised by someone regarding specs for template.
Also someone asked if I sleep in it, not all the time, but it is not a problem at all to sleep in it. The only reason I do not is to maximise life span of unit.
BA you did a great job with my units, thanks to you mate. :0)
I tell you what...when I see something like this it almost makes me want to cut my remaining side hair and just go with a bloody full piece !!!! This is close to perfection as you can get. The only concern I would have is if a person would want to leave their sideburns how real would the sides look in person as far as blending, I love the way it is layered and the density looks perfect. I think what I really like about it is not having to worry about blending the sides to the top in the morning like I do now. I would think all you would have to do is spray it with water and style it anyway you want and go on with the rest of the day in no time.
I've been with a full cap for more than a year now. Much the same style as the off the head shots above, longish, shaggy at the back, shorter at the sides.
I got sick of blending and colouring my own hair so took the plunge, and I've not looked back.
Sleeping - no probs, it's even more secure than the topper.
Styling - yeah, just spray a little water or conditoned, style and go.
Sideburns - I used to blend in with my own, but to be honest I find it much easier to just shave them off altogether and use the fc sideburns exclusively. Mine are almost identcal to those in the pic above, though a little longer over the tops of my ears.
Seeing this there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I made the right decision switching to a full cap.
The topper is great and all, but my thin sides severely limit my ability to achieve the kinds of styles I can use, so I have never really experienced that huge WOW factor that I think the full cap cut in properly will give.
My driver license has a picture of me when I was 21. I look at it and see that I still had a hairline, but the density is MAYBE 30-40%. Back then i still had sides and could at least wear a few various styles, but it has been more than 15 years since I have been able to have exactly the kind of hair and hairstyle i want. It's going to be quite an experience. I hope i don't cry when I see it for the first time
Now I know my last uncut topper is going to go up for sale as soon as i get my first full cap straightened out. I wouldn't be able to contain myself waiting for my last two toppers to wear out!
My sides aren't getting much worse, but they ain't getting thicker either.
I wonder are the locks (sideburns) difficult to blend? And are they realistic? I've seen some photos where they didn't look very good. This seems to be the only weakness, and the only awkward thing about a full cap.
Like the system looks great. and it looks great on him. My only question is the very back. Is it like a total necessity to have it that long in the back? Or could u cut it shorter then that.?
Thanks ba for the picture thats cool. Im taking a guess that he blended it in at the nape of his neck. He did a good job. I can see the transition only because of the flash. But i know the flash reflects off real hair a little differently then the fake hair. But nice, this pic should give people hope who are looking for full caps
