If you are like me and have oily skin, here's a trick that helps "smoosh" the lace into the tape without getting your finger, and hair from the unit, stuck to the tape.
After the unit is attached and lightly tacked down, take your index finger and rub along the side of your nose or where ever your skin gets oily. Use that finger to push the lace firmly into the tape. Your finger won't stick to the tape nor will any hairs from the unit.
Should there be any shine after you've stretched the tape, this slight bit of oil will make the shine vanish.
