what a bunh of crap.i went to hairsite last night and on there forums posted about my toplace pieces and how nice they are and how they are like a thousand less than farrell.nothing bashing any company or promoting another and now my posts are gone.if you look on there site they are massive supporters of farrell.what a bunh of bull**** to remove my post like that.i just want people to know and im gonna keep posting there till people do.
Mike, I had a few minutes spare so I tracked down the site your talking about on Google. LMAO at some of those pics in the Forum 'Hair Replacement Systems'. Even the one with the comment "the best hair system I have ever seen" made me laugh. Its not that good & the guys wearing it far too low, makes him look like wolf man. Thanks for brightening up a dull Monday night for me & I can see why they don't want you mentioning Toplace on there!

I have (had rather) a long history with HairSite. There are some good people on the forums but the people running the site are only after advertising profit. I had the same thing happen, before even coming to TopLace I'd posted there asking if anyone had any experience with it, and the post was deleted within a few hours. I thought it was a mistake or something and reposted, and they deleted it again AND sent me an email to the effect of "we prefer to keep discussions on hair replacement relevant to our site." Total bollocks. Never went back to the site.
Just goes to show they know T.L. is a serious threat to their game-- they wouldn't delete posts if they didn't.

seriously we should all go post before and after pictures of our toplaces on hairsite.what could they do? most of these poor guys have no clue theres even another option out there.i didnt till i found this site, i thought it was only hcm, farrell, and appollo.i didnt have a clue about mail order hairpieces.
Why don't you email the owner and ask him why they did that? Ask him how he's helping people by only promoting one company (the company that gives him money) for hair pieces? It's absolutely wrong, especially thinking about how many people stumble on that site and take their word as gospel. I know money talks but you have to draw the line somewhere. The site poses as a site to help hairloss sufferers. Makes me furious.
yeah most people will believe everything said about hair replacement on that site cause why would they lie right?they're there to help us.
its just that most all the guys who are talking about or are interested in H.R. dont know about these other inexpensive ways to do it yourself they only know of farrell or hcm.im gonna do all i can to fix that.
Hairsite could give a **** about Hairpieces. Their Hair Replacement section doesn't get any action. They obviously had some deal worked out with Farrel at one time. But you don't see Farrell banners all over the place anymore. Those guys are big with the transplants and the HM. Michael 77. All you did was get information over there and now you want to troll the site? That's a pretty stand up move. Just stick your piece on and worry about what you gotta worry about. If you don't like it. Start your own f'in website.
Crybaby
Mad and dull you need to get some anger management classes...most of youre posts are angry and negative...just chill dude...for someone who does not wear you are very angrrrrrrry.
Oh, I'm not angry. Sorry if I come across negative. I just got annoyed with his suggestion about trolling a website for no reason other than that his post was removed. I actually could care less. But I've been going to Hairsite for years and I've mentioned Michigan Baldy to a whole lot of people and have mentioned TL as well as HD to several more. And as some people here know it's not cool to mention Farrell or HCM or whoever and people are down with that and respect that. I was just pointing that out to Mature Mike.
I wouldnt worry about it fellas, Everyone knows that site encourages people to spend thousands and thousands on hair transplants and wigs, They are hardly going to welcome anyone posting saying they got a natural look for less than $200 are they now ?
Anyone who has had the misfortune of being a Farrell client, an employee or even knowing Richard and Laura Farrell know that they are bullies. If HairSite is controlled by Farrell in any way, it's through anger control. At one time, when Farrell really did have the best product - that would have been about ten years ago - HairSite probably awarded them the Best in the World. That is what is called making a deal with the devil. My guess is that over years, as Farrell's product got more expensive and less durable (when they began getting made in China like everyone else even while Farrell blasted other companies who do that) HairSite probably tried to stop the Best in the World thing and encountered the Richard that everyone who knows him knows and hates; the scary, angry, threatening and intense Richard.
An ex-employee who I know told me that he stayed working for Farrell because he felt like one of those abused women who stay in an abusive relationship with a psycho, angry man who is beating them and controlling them. They are afraid to leave! I can't imagine what HairSite has gone through with the Farrell's but the fact that the entire hair replacement section of HairSite has basically fallen into disrepair and isn't updated much, lost the forum, etc. shows me that HairSite made a deal with the Devil and lost. No amount of money is worth your website losing credibility. HairSite understands that.
Farrell has closed its salons in Chicago and Atlanta. New York will be next because he can't keep it staffed. He is opening up in other countries because he's basically been exposed in the USA.
It's too bad that Top Lace doesn't have the Internet marketing power Farrell had. Hair Direct seems to have it. The good news is that the days of the Farrell empire certainly seem to be over as he packs his bags and flees the country to victimize poorer, more helpless people, while pretending to care about them and feel compassion.
Just thinking about that makes me sick to my stomach.
It seems to me that Toplace is operating at maximum efficiency. I would be afraid if they got any bigger. Size brings a lot of other problems along with it. We get great, personal service here, I wouldn't want to change a thing!
-ANDREW (NEVER ANDY)
You're probably right. Getting big is what ruined Farrell. There is no way to keep up the quality control when you get huge. That happens in every industry. You lose the magic when you get that big.
hair direct , as you said has the(marketing) ability, however, upon (very close ) observation,of many of the (post's) on their forum,it's quite clear that it's the (marketing) people posting as (client's) then a praise, from a (tech) minute's after the post
To me, all a bully needs to be a bully, is a victim! How can Farrell bully anyone and win? What can he do? He ain't going to hit you is he? Can you imagine the headlines..."Richard Farrel and his wife beats up client"....it would never happen. Now Im not Mike Tyson, but if I went to Farrell's or anyone else and got bullied...Im sorry to say it...but that would be the end of his bullying that's for sure!
My advice to anyone being bullied by Richard Farrell is to say to him "if you want to take it outside mate...lets go now!!!" Then I'd get me little camera out and film the event. Then Id post a link and put it on YouTube
I suggest anyone thinking of going there, take a hidden camera....Id love to see that! That's what I love about the Internet...exposing these types is getting easier and easier. And a good thing too.......
Save ya cash chaps and ladies..and stop being a victim!!
BA?...tell them about the story of you going to a Salon and the guy trying to rip you off...I love that one...cracks me up
I at one time, was a client of hair direct. That was until I met BA and the gang at a convention. They were more interested in helping me with what I needed rather than getting me on a SOP plan. With HD I couldn't get my pieces to be right from them. I first started out wrong style but even with that the Density was like 110% I couldn't get it lowered. I complained on the Forum because couldn't get anything done by phone. They pretty much say I am the Hair Tech I know better than you what is best for you. Well, the bottom line I was cast off, banned from the forum. Unless, you post praise they don't want it period!
Hafa Adai!

Ok Chris I will, Years ago I was going to a place in England who used the same type of bullying/intimidation tactics, I seen this going on from the first couple of times I was there and obviously thought to myself I aint going to stand for this (why oh why people stand for being bullied I dont know, They need to get some backbone and dont be so bloody spineless) Anyway one day in the office the bloke is saying I was on or had to go on a contract, blah ,blah, blah and he said it is a contract I couldnt break, I said I tell you what mate "Hows about I break your jaw you utter clown" Of course he gets lairy and says "Oh ok you dont need a contract"
Honestly in those days I would have put it on him and never given it a second thought, I am more mellow now
Another inident was with a bloke named Steve everytime I went in to have some maitenance done he would mither me for more money for pieces, services etc, etc, So after about the 4th time I said to him, Look here now Stevie boy "I dont have any spare money get that into your thick head will ya and dont ask me again or you will get it" Well this plum obviously didnt listen and the next ime I go in hes right at it again, I never said anything to him I just ran over to him and got him in a very tight choke hold and I told him "I warned you not to ask me again" He was just gurgeling and obviously couldnt say a word and 4
other blokes had to pull me off him, Trust me he never asked for another penny off me again
Please dont get me wrong I am not advocating violence, I was young then but the moral of the story is, Dont let them bully you, Who do they think they are ?
Did you use a rear naked choke, a guillotine choke, a triangle choke, the big brother choke or did you give him a BA special?
I like to scissor-leg choke people sometimes.
Like in that old Bugs Bunny cartoon, with the big mean wrestler guy, who had five biceps stacked on top of each bicep when he flexed his muscle.
It was a guillotine choke mate, I would have liked to put him in the triangle choke but he was standing up and I couldnt get my legs over his fat head.
LOL Yeah thats what it was like Bull, These people preyed on people and took loads of money from them, I wasnt going to play there disgusting little game.
"It was a guillotine choke mate, I would have liked to put him in the triangle choke but he was standing up and I couldnt get my legs over his fat head."
How about a nice standing arm triangle, or a cross collar? Arm drag to the back and standing RNC is always nice
So who's met Mr Farrell? Is he a big 6 footer or what? I cant see it myself on his videos, he looks small to me. Not that I'm saying the big ones are the strong ones. Its just I cant see the guy having any weight behind any bullying. His hair would get in his eyes anyway!! Surely trading standards can have a look at this guy if he's known for these tactics. Just as they did with AHS in the UK.
The real problem is with newbies. These poor people have no idea what to expect. Anyone selling a wig for more than a couple hundred quid should be investigated for fraud! All this rubbish about "hair systems" and "hair replacement"...its all a big rip off when in reality what you get for your money is a hair piece or wig depending on what you want to call it. That's not to say they all look bad...many look fantastic, but its still a hair piece!
It isnt a direct type of bullying like kids on a playground, its more like over a period of time where these hair replacement centers know that they have you where they want you in regards to your hair.
Once you become totally dependant on them for your hair needs, they start denying problems, try and push you into higher price programs to solve any problems that you point out to them, that sort of thing.
Heres a couple nice fights where some pretty good jujitsu and counter jujitsu moves are made until a winner finally gets an unusual choke in, the best action starts at about 3:50 dont blink its fast-
The fight gets stopped briefly at 4:35 because of illegal hits to the back of the head. You can choke a guy or break his bones, but hit him in the back of the head and you lose one point.
The fight continues, and is over at 3:33. I wonder what took him so long.....
MMA and a hairpiece, probably not a good idea. I once saw a japanese boxing match where one of the fighters loses his piece in the middle of the round in front of thousands of people. To his credit, he kept on fighting and eventually won by knockout and even rubbed his now bare dome with his glove as the crowd cheered.
I've been involved in wrestling and Jiu Jitsu and to a lesser extent MMA (just training, no actual fights) for 5 years, including instructing now. I would love to shave my head and be done with it, but scars from an auto accident and then an attempt at a transplant years ago make that not such a great option. So, even though I'm kind of tired of the hairpiece thing it is still the lesser of the two evils to me. Maybe one day I'll get a good surgeon to fix up my scars...
Anyway, when I grapple full on I wear a set of wrestling headgear ear protector things, which is not at all uncommon anyway in this sport. It's pretty tight and keeps everything in place. Though one time a few years ago I did rip an SFS somewhat (my first and last one).
Miguel is a textbook example of the right way to fight off your back. A lot of guys end up there and get pounded stupid. That choke is basically the same effect as an RNC but applied from the reverse angle. Not seen a whole lot, at least in MMA.
Brok Lesnar is not a striker in any way, shape or form. He was a champion amateur freestyle wrestler (who then went to the WWF) with unequaled strength and speed for his size. That was only his third fight in MMA and he was pounding the former champ pretty good and then got sloppy and ended up in a kneebar. Once he actually does learn some decent stand up striking and how to spot and defend jiu jitsu attacks he could very well be one of the best ever.

I agree and although I have instructed and have been in MMA fights with a hairpiece it really aint the sport for it, I used to absolutly plaster the base with blue liner tape so it wouldnt come off.
I also agree about Brock Lesner, Once he clues up in this sport I reckon he will be a match for anyone, Mir is obviously no mug and took advantage of Lesners mistake and thats all it takes with good fighters, Just one careless mistake and you will be made to pay for it, Been there done that, More than once I can tell you
when i was a teen at karate school we had a judo brown belt he could not kick or punch..i would kick him and punch him...he was a new karate student...boy when you grabs bob i was cooked done...flip me choke me etc...choke exbert he bad..
the good old days

Carlos Condit is another champ and very good ground fighter. I dont like the guy, something about him, I dont know what, but I like watching his fights because I`m hoping to see him lose.
But that son-of-a-gun is really good, and he just dont lose.
Theres an up and coming street fighter, straight off the streets who was doing illegal bare knuckle fights. Illegal because they bet money on them, and they were so dangerous that people would get hurt pretty bad.
They would post the vids on the web, and this guy is a real monster.
I`ve been following him for a few years, from his (closed to the public) backyard/abandoned warehouse/empty parking lot bareknuckle fights, where he would take on any and all challengers.
After dispatching them very quickly and decisively, he would give them a handshake if they could get up, look at the camera and pay homage to his best friend William who passed away, letting all of us know he fights for Willy.
He calls himself Kimbo Slice (real name is Kevin) and he has been "discovered" by the UFC.
He has already fought Ray Mercer and won rather easily, but most recently, he literally destroyed Tank Abbot.
This guy is unbelieveable, and I sincerely feel that if he were just a bit larger, taller, no doubt he would rip Lesnar apart. I just dont think he has enough reach though.
This is my boy, scroll down and click on Kimbo Slice vs Tank Abbot-
I hope to see Kimbo finally get his shot at some professional training so he can go as far as he can, after all the hard work and dangerous street fighting he`s done these last few years, fighting his way out of the shadows, fighting for his best friend William, and fighting just to fight because he truly enjoys it.
Kimbo may or may not turn out to be legit in the MMA world, especially now that he is training with Bas Rutten.
His fight with Tank was ridiculous. Tank drinks more than he trains, is now 44 years old and has not evolved one bit since he first started fighting in MMA some 10+ years ago. He took that fight with Kimbo for a paycheck and not much more, IMO.
Have you seen Kimbos underground fight with Sean Gannon? Kimbo didn't do so hot in that one.
These off topics go on and on sometimes, and these guys just let us have our playtime.
I`m aware of those things regarding Kimbo, his early loss to that cop from Boston is just a loss, alot of fighters arent undefeated especially in them bareknuckle fights.
Hell, I`m 168 and 1 in bareknuckle myself.
Its fun to have hope for the guy. He obviously has no ground skills, but at least the good thing for him is that most of the top guys in that weight division seem to do alot of standup fighting and win the big matches that way like Liddell, Rampage, Arlovski, etc
When Gannon beat Kimbo, Dana White signed up Gannon for a 3 fight deal on the strength of it, Thing is he fought Brandon Lee Hinkle in the first fight and Hinkle ironed him out and that was the last we heard of Gannon in regards to the UFC, Think Dana White ended up with egg on his face.
