HERE'S MY PLAN

I am 32 and I wore for a few years in high school a for 1/2 a year in 2005. In short I am reconsidering because of Jrobs success with a full cap. Full cap takes care of issues I had with a topper; thin sides, hard to blend, had to use cover up, hard to match densities, didn't like how I looked without topper on (would prefer to see my fully shaved head in the mirror in the morning. etc.

I work in a high school which present challenges if I decide to switch back, but also presents an opportunity to try again during summer. I have about 2 months where I can "disappear" for the summer and try it out. Since my head is shaved I have increased flexibility there also. Also if I can cut it to about 1/2 inch that would be realistic hair growth in 2 months (helps to minimize suspicions as opposed to showing up like Fabio in the fall)

I am really starting to debate the "experiment" now Because I know it may take 6-8 weeks to get the cap.

NOW the questions for the experts:

base: most rugged use = I ride motorcycles and wear a helmet #64??

density: 65%??

attachment: would prefer tape; glue mess used to pi$$ me off

removal: 99% alcohol don't know what that really is but everyone uses it for tape removal LOL

recommmeded cut in options in the chicagoland

I'll check previous posts for making template

Any other perspectives welcome

I think I included a pic feel free to suggest styles

Sounds like a plan.

French lace is good for durability but it doesn't lay down nearly as well as SFS for me.

65% is a good all around density, but don't be afraid to ump it up a notch on the sides and back. If you've been shaving and people don't know you with hair they will never know the difference. I transitioned from toppers that were in that density range (actually thinner due to sheddding) into full caps that seemed about 10% too thick, but once they got cut in they both look amazing. Another forum member was present during my cut-in and he even commented on how it looked like entirely too much hair before it was cut but after it looked fine.

As for the template....I bought some liquid latex and I'm going to simply paint on a template, THEN do a regular tape mold and use the black latex to trim the tape mold to size.

Thanks for the feedback. The worst part will be the rumors in the high school. I didn't think I would have to go through that again LOL. Was really tough the first time whenI was in high school
