I heard from a guy who wears that the thinskin material lasts only for a month. I really donīt know if he is talin' about the new material or itīs other.
Really donīt know what material is talking about, that was just a comment, and i think i donīt have the posibility to ask him again. Ba, you test the new material, would you say that lasts only a month?
Iv had lots of skin pieces and I can tell you, no word of a lie...they do not shed any more than lace and they last as long. Who ever told you they last a month is either lying or scare mongering. They many not have ever had a skin piece. If they had they wouldn't have made that comment. Loads of people on here use skin based pieces with great success. Take no notice! Anyway, if one of TL skins lasted one month where are all the posts complaining about them? All you need to do is get one and try it. If your not happy, ask for a refund and post your complaint or email the people who sell you it. However, there is opinion on every facet of hair wearing so you really need some personal experience to judge these things. Not all the post on here are with integrity.....(though many and most are)
this is the skinny on this subject. the big hair chains call the ultra thinskin units "desposable units" because they bond them on using a hard bond adhesive....so after one month or 6 weeks of hard bonded on, it is then disposable. for MOST people who use the soft bond adhesives...these units will last just like lace bases do. its just a matter of the bonding technique, not the unit itself.(hard bonds are not recommended by me, as most of you know).
so I can almost guarantee that your friend goes to some chain hair replacement salon that hard bonds their pieces on and calls them disposable and this is why he made those statements to you.

I recommend using glue on the thin skin pieces for this reason. the skin is so thin, that tape removal can stretch it out or worse yet, if you are not careful, it can tear. However, many people do use tape with thinskin...but this Newest thinskin may just be so thin that I dare say I would not recommend using tape on them. One would have to try it to be sure though as I have not yet seen the newest thinnest skin pieces. remember, glue cleanup on skin type bases is easy (so much easier than on lace) so glue wouldn't be such a problem.

I really want to get SWS with the thinnest skin sandwitched under the perimeter. Then I can get a much stronger bond, easier clean up, and no glue in the hair.
Is thin skin thinner than swiss lace? Would swiss lace on top of thin skin be thinner than french lace?
