Question for HairMeister

hairmeister

I am extremely interested in your opinion as I don't yet wear cos I want to do daily attachment but thought it would be too much hassle. I totally agree with u about keeping it simple. If I'm successfuly going to do daily - it needs to be a quick simple affair on a daily basis.

I want my daily routine to be:

-Get up, get the hair on in 5 mins. *
-An hour before bed - take off hair reasonably quickly ie. a few mins (pref without the need for chemicals etc).
-Jump in the shower and bed.

*Over time I'm thinking that I may want to re-attach the piece on the same night I take it off so I can just get out in the mornings unhindered (or if there was a fire or something!)

-Is the above do-able?

I want a lace piece, cut to a fairly short modern spikey style. I want to do my hair cuts myself using a RoboCutter. (I'm hoping Hans will give me email support to get that mastered!)

-Do you think this on/off glue is the right thing in this situation?

-I assume that I have to apply the glue every morning for attachemnt. Would the 5 mins attachment time cover this as well?

Thanks!

I am a firm believer that all is do-able,when I became a hair wearer,I realized that there would be a learning curve-it requires some time & like anything else you have to stick to it(no pun) just remember IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!! it took me about 2months to get to the point where I have it down like this,it really isn't that hard, but you have to research & learn,I spent a couple of weeks going thru this site during spare time to educate myself-it is a really amazing site!! with a lot of really knowledgeable people more so than I, pick up michigan baldy's dvd - it will really set you on the path, the glue is great, what you want to do is fairly simple,it's what I have been doing for the last 4-5 months everyday & it looks fantastic & real, I have spent enough $$$$$ on transplants to buy a house or put half down, hair systems in the last 5 years have really come along way & you can do it because I do & I am not a genius, learn all you can,I don't give up,you will be soooo glad you did it,you really will. Good Luck .
P.S. even if I had a fire in my house I could put it on in no time, honestly

Agreed-this site is fantastic and i'm only considering buying a hair piece due to this great resource.

Just one thing -

can i just confirm that u re-apply the glue daily and this is do-able in a 5 min attachment?

pretty much,I re attach every day,in about 5min,again the tape on the back & sides I change every 3-4 days-& hairline I use aileens tack & tack again, really simple, just take your time at first, make sure you do it rite & your comfortable with your look & this will take some time ,you will gradually become more adept & the quickness will come,Good luck

hairmeister,

If the glue stays on your scalp and not on your hair, why don't u just use glue on the back & sides as well instead of tape? Is it cos the tape gives a stronger hold or the tape can be re-activated easily?

Hey den10,I see you've been reading thru the post's,excellent!,I like to use tape on sides out of preference,it allows me to reapply quicker without too much worry ,probably more psycological or comfort.
I sometimes still use a system with clips(on back & sides) as well ,with glue on the front,(this is the absolute quickest way as well) I don't really have much time so I like to have a few different options at my disposal in the morning, depending on whats up for the day,the weather etc, etc, but all the systems I have ,I always maintain weekly, takes an hour usually but makes a big big difference in the appearance which in turn gives you the optimum confidence in you!by the way?Have you looked into purchasing Michigan Baldy's dvd? it'll be a great help to you extremely informative & helpful.
