How long do I need my own hair to be before I try wearing? I've shaved for the past 8 or so years and have been letting it grow for about a month. In some spots I'm probably about .5 inch but in other spots less. As a newbie, would I be best off waiting for some length to grow in before I try to blend it all in? I would rather wait (and be bald a little longer) than try to do things too soon and be obvious.

1/2" is fine. Try to get it in the 1/2" to 1" range and your good for easy blend.

In my pics, hair is less that 1/2 inch everywhere.

Snipe just wondering whats your base size measure??? I recently went bigger in size just because piece hair looks way better thanmy natural hair...went to 7.5" x 9.5"

My base size is about the same as yours.
