I only got my second unit a few weeks ago and had it cut-in. Then I decided to cut it up even more coz it didn't fit too well (top-most part of head).
I used to use ST-30 at the back and sides and then UH or I-Glue at the front as I was always too afraid ST-30 at the front would be noticable. But I ran out of UH and it was somehow too toxic. I-Glue was very messy and would only hold for a ay or two. To my surprise, ST-30 at the front is undetectable. Just don't leave the lace at the front as you normally would for glue. And also when you apply it to your head make sure to heat it up and press it even harded once the tape is heated up to achieve ultimate hold.
The pics below are not the best due to too much light and flash so you can see right through to my scalp, and also too much wax and hairspray drying up... but anyways here they are. ST-30 all around.
Looks good man- I'm interested in your specs and your hairloss, your hair is about the exact same color as mine, so I'm wondering if you colored everything or if the 1b color just matched yours better? Good work though, I'm going to start figuring my stock piece out in about a week...
Looks good. Although the third pic down it seems like your getting into a bit of a wide forhead look...but it could just be the close-up of the picture.
It works great if you have receding temples. You can bring some hairs down and hawk the rest up. It really works out great and puts the focus on the top of your hair rather than the recession and hairline.
looks good man. the only suggestion that i have is maybe trying to lower the hairline a bit. looks like you could def. get away with it-maybe another 1/4 inch.
You can lower the hairline a tad. I always say 4 fingers above the brow is perfect--that is what Debbie and BA taught me at the convention.
HOw do you do ST 30 so close? DO you cut individual pieces that fit the very front edge and then heat up with a blowdryer? I want to experiment with that this week? I also am dropping UH after weeks of headaches and me being irritable all the time.

you are not right....4 fingers is ok if u are 40+ but if u are so young beetwen 20 and 30 -it would be great with 3 fingers!it's really enought...
it depends of your face and your sides too...so,3 or 4 -u must try and see!

I use 4 because I always had a high hairline to begin with--more similar to the guy on Dawson's Creek but a tad lower. I am 30s. Between 3 and 1/2 and 4 is also good.
20-30ish, 3 fingers is good. SOme people just have a higher hairline, so 3.5 fingers -4 fingers might be good for them.
35+ or so, 4 fingers probably, just depends. I'm lucky enough to still be able to see parts of my very diffused hairline and how my scalp wrinkles showing were my natural hairline would be, so I use that.
I know my brother, who is 26 and lucky to still have pretty nice hair has the center of his hairline 3 fingers, and as it goes towards his temples it is probably 3.5 fingers or so, like a V, but not a strong V.
