Have any of you done this? I have Topikk lying around from before I got a piece. I was thinking about putting it in the crown area--you all know--shake and bake. The piece wasn't knot dyed well and there are a lot of black dots showing. I am thinking this is my only hope until I get a new piece in the next few weeks. I cannot send for ventallation because no backup with this style template.
Re: Piece Loosing Hair at Crown-Add Topikk till new piece comes?

I've done that too, used Mane spray in concealer on top when a unit thinned down a bit too far after 5 months wearing and I was waiting for a new one to arrive. Covers a multitude of sins including any visible knots.
It's a good idea if you like to wear pieces that are a little higher density than your side hair and want to blend or your piece is just a tiny bit too short in a spot or something like that. It's not necessarily a good idea to just put it on the base as it's very difficult to get that stuff out of the base once its combined with the glue, water, etc.. it gets stuck on the base at knots and won't come off easily. I tried it a few times b/c I had to, but wouldn't recommend it.
I did a couple sprinkles on the crown--which was dry--no hair product was in and that area isn't glued down...it made the crown look 10 times better instantly....and evidentially washed right out. However, I didn't put any hair gel on it--you really should put gel or spray on it to hold the topikk. I will probably have to do that tomorrow.
I don't recommend this as it makes the hair SUPER dry in that one area the next day...I am going to have to put WW in that area to make it soft again..I don't think pieces were meant for TPK.
