I would like to ask everyone who reads this to please, please when finished reading this, please stop and pray for me. I am at the worst I have ever been in my entire life and I'm not sure how I will survive. Yet, I know because my poor coping skills, I am causing much stress complicating my issues.

I've been having a lot of stress for the past year due to medical issues. My hair is going through a massive hair loss episode. I was a normal horseshoe shape Norwood V I guess, but I have lost about 2 to 3 inches of hair all around and the horseshoe is very, very thin on the sides in addition to receding and there is a major dip in the back of my head making my pattern assymetrical. My current Toplace hairpiece no longer fits it has a white wall around my head so all I can do is wear a hat. I was once a very good looking boy/man throughout high school and college and into adults, but, I feel like the ugliest person in the world because I do not have a nice shape head or nice facial features. I can't pull off the bald look. I only look good with a lot of hair and long.

I have been stable for 11 years and wish I never stopped proscar or avodart. This has come on rapidly. I've started taking Saw Palmetto, Beta-Stisoral (sp?) and B complex vitamins, minoxidil, laser comb, everything just have hope - along with praying.

I have three toplace hairpieces I never cut in and none of them fit my pattern. I made a new mold but I don't think it's going to work because I need fine thin European hair and was told I cannot get that in 10 days but rather a month. Also, freestyle doesn't work well for me unless it is single hair knotted - as I part my hair and all the freestyles I've gotten don't cooperate with my hair or blend. I'm 8.5 by 5 3/4.

If anyone wants my hairpieces unused, just let me know. If you don't mind paying what I paid I would appreciate it. They're uncut and about 7 X 5 and color 3B.

Can you simply pray for me. My screen name is John. Just please ask God to stop my hair and to reverse it to where it was just 3 years ago. That's all I ask is for unified prayer because I don't know how I will ever cope or survive. The bible says if we pray in numbers, God hears us. Regardless of your spiritual beliefs, will you simply pray for me. Thank you much and I apologize for being so weak and emotional on this public forum.

I will certainly keep you in my prayers, but just remember, when it comes to hair replacement, there is a solution for every problem.

Of course we will pray for you, but from the sounds of desperation in your message you need the services of professional to help you deal with the stresses of your medical condition and the anxiety from the hair. The pain you are experiencing comes through loud and clear and I am worried about your well being. Do you have support of family, friends, pastor through the issues you are struggling with? If so I want you to share this with them. Then I want you to seek a professional who can help you through this time.

I would encourage you to check out the full cap info has been a lot lately. WHich I am grateful for since I just got mine. I have been shaving for the better part of 13 years, but though I would give it another try now. Partly because I am doing it for me rather than others just to see.

I agree with Nate 100%. You sound like you're in a lot of pain. You need some professional help. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Some people take this hair thing more to heart than others. While you're getting some help, make a template that fits you, place your order, and you'll have the hair you need soon enough. I am about to start wearing a full cap, so I will no longer have to deal with my thin sides. It's a very nice thing. From what you said, though, you can order a stock 8x10 and have it in a week. You can cut it down to size.

But get some help for yourself.

God has no sympathy for hair loss, its toplace you should pray to!

Just get a cut in full cap and be on your way. Life is great. Enjoy it, it could be a lot worse!

In a crew world where babies are born with aids, and people die of horrible diseases, I cannot pray for you about hair loss. because i feel if god can fix your hairloss, he should be fixing more important things on this planet. But i do pray about your health concerns. I hope you beat whatever it is that is ailing you.

you know my friend, hairloss isn't easy for any of us guys.

But if that situation is having such a dramatic effect on you, even if you know Toplace, BA and John will make everything right for you...well in my opinion, there's a good chance that your problem may be a lot more profond than you think. Think about it my friend.

And while you're waiting for your next custom piece, if you're in such a hurry to cover your head, maybe you should consider buying a stock piece from BA, which you could get within the next couple of days.

Tom, I strongly disagree with your above statement.

First, praying to a company or an individual that provides hair systems is pure nonsense... And second, saying God has no sympathy for people suffering goes against everything the Bible teaches us about God... Personally, I admire John2671 for publicly asking for prayer, and I pray the Lord has mercy on him... I think it would be awesome if God restored John's hair just because he had the faith to call on the Name of the Lord for help.

Thank you all so much for all your feedback. Especially those who are praying on my behalf. I feel very encouraged and hopeful that your prayers will help me just enough to satisfy me, glorify God and to restore my sense of well-being in all areas. Regardless if it's hairloss, or any life issue, it's a physical and emotional hardship that is very real to me and my life, but I do understand perspective. Just tonight I saw Extreme Home Makeover where the gentleman had a physical ailment and affected his appearance and physical abilities and gained perspective.

I believe your prayers will help me and I am grateful to you, my family in hair loss, that you will offer your prayers on my behalf. We're all in this together. I hope Follica or other cure is realistically close.

John, check out Bob from Philly's post. its on page 2 of the forum under a thread from charlie harper entitled "getting discouraged about buying a system." It won't solve all your problems, but it will surely make you feel better. Never give in, stand up and fight and spit in the eye of adversity!

One way or another I believe you will beat this and find happiness in life and be able to accomplish the things God has ment for you to accomplish.

John, if your latest hairloss is strictly due to medical reasons, let's hope for the best.

But if not, you shouldn't just sit back and wait for miracles to develop because you could be disappointed.

Few things are a 'guarantee' in life and when we can succeed to identify some of them, we can get ahead of most people on earth and have the edge. Hairloss is one of the few 'sure things': instead of getting better or reversing, it will get worse.

You should plan to adjust your templates to cover your newly bald areas and be prepared to have the latest hairloss to become permanent.

It takes character to become a successful hairwearer (not to mention many other areas of life)and when we don't have the character for something, it can be built. And by building the necessary character it takes, the stress, fear and uncertainty will slowly fade away because you will have finally taken control.

And yes of course, building character always feels inherently uncomfortable....but it's so much worth it

I know religion is a sensitive subject to joke about so I apologise. I certainly don’t want to offend anyone. Anyway, I just believe you must try to help yourself before relying on others to help you. John, I’m just thinking of you in the long run.
I will pray for you as I know it is an emotional time.

p.s. If God does happen to replace all of your hair then please let me know because that would be fantastic.

What I think you should do is put things into perspective.

Instead of thinking of what you don't have(hair), think about what you are taking for granted. I assume you can get up on your own, walk and breath without assistance - many people out there can not do these things and it puts hair into perspective. Hair is nice to have - but you can go on without hair. I noticed you did mention health problems, but I assume nothing serious or you would not be focused on hair.

This might seem cold but people with real physical ailments should be prayed for, not someone who is losing their hair.
