Has anyone else noticed that the density scale has changed dramatically. My last 3 units are 20% or so off. Having expressed this it hasn't changed... still getting the same low densities. I'm asking for 85% and 95% and getting more like 65-75%. Sometimes less. These units shed too fast for that low of a density to work for me. Anyone else?
Can someone send me a comparison chart for the densities on the old toplace scale to the new? Thanks.
Rob, when did you start recieving the under density HP's? I got mine about 2 months ago, and its a 65% in front and 70% all the rest, and its really thick. But i remember a lot of people stating that they were coming in too thick so maybe someone called the factory, and now maybe the factory is under densitifying (like that word? ) them
this is a very large issue. from my days at hcm, the whole concept of "taking what they give you" is far too common in this industry.
too high of an error variance! the prices have gone up and seems the quality has down. i guess a captive audience allows for pretty egregious behavior sometimes
i can hear the "dont like it? go somewhere else" comments already...
Its not the same factory I do not think. I remember coolpieces density is about 20 percent different then toplaces old density. Perhaps they are using density charts more similar to coolpiece.
So if u want 65 percent maybe u need to order 85? not sure im sure BA will clear up the confusion.
I'm getting tired of spending money on units that are too low in density only to cut them in and have them unwearable. Spending $300, waiting a 4-5 weeks and getting nothing. I wish the confusion would have been cleared up a long time ago. It's getting ridiculous. I WANT THE OLD TOPLACE BACK!
There is no change in the density scale. This must be an isolated case because we're selling hundreds of units and not getting this issue. If a density is too thin you should send it back and we'll increase the density--no charge. Don't cut it in! We'll always make it right.

Re: Density Scale Change?

hey ba
The density has been off for me too...my last unit was 77% all over but it came out in the 50's
I had john send it back to me hoping my stylist could do the hair add because I was under a time crunch but its too big of a job so I may need to send.it to you again to have it sorted mate
Hey caz, sounds like yours are off by about the same 20%. Was this order a 10 day or a normal order. I know John said hundreds are dead on with density so I'm trying to find similarities between our orders. I've ordered 3 all with the same specs and all came back with the same low low density.
Hi John, as you recall I have been sending these back and you have been re-ordering with the anticipation that the density will be corrected but they haven't been. Should we just be ordering 110% density for me instead?
I have never touched a HP before. I ordered 60% base on the picture of Colin's . He claims that he has a 65% density and from there, I feel that 60% should be good for me and nothing less. Then eventually I will increase the density to 65% then 68%. And now many members are complaining that the density scale changes. This really worries me. I want to be happy with my first order and how I look.
So why you worrying about something you have never seen yet ? LOL
Thats like worrying about something that may never happen its pointless.
Hairpieces are just that hairpieces AND NO HAIR REPLACEMENT COMPANY can gaurantee anything 100%, Its this simple and I have posted many, many times, Unless you are sitting in the factory advising at the time they are making your hairpiecce it is down to interpretation. Thats not to say hairpieces come back wrong all the time fact is they dont, But anyone who says they can guarantee something when they are not present at the process are a liar.
