Finpecia and the generic versions of Propecia should be just the same. All these India-produced generic brands are just as good as the real thing as far as propecia anyway. That was what my research ended up with.
Propecia might work OK for you, or you might get nasty side-effects. There's no way to know beforehand.
Just be aware of the fact that you'll be messing with the hormone system in your body. It's not like taking vitamin pills.
The (many different) sides I got was quite bad. It took a LONG time before my libido was fully back.
Some guys even grow breasts (gynocomastia) with these pills, and there is a website with people claiming permanent erectile damage and libido drops after using propecia - and the newest version called avodart is even stronger - stay away from that. I've read some forums where guys have gotten severe skin issues with that drug and complete impotence.
Some of these are kinda extreme cases, but I noticed firsthand the severity of this drug's side-effects. It doesn't help whatever the %-ratio for side-effects is, if it happens to YOU.
Avodart takes 5 MONTHS to be purged completely from the body (if taken for several months). If you become impotent because of the drug, then..well you get the point.
Propecia is not legal/allowed in Norway btw., and I can understand why.
You might be just fine, but this is a weird drug. The sides may show up early, or later. Eg., after 10 months suddenly your dick will be almost completely numb... For me, the sides started after about 6 weeks, and I shedded hair like crazy the entire time I took the pills. I thought my body would normalize and loose the side effects, but no..
I also grew fatty tissue in a typical woman pattern: around the stomach, inside of the thighs etc..
Luckily I loose weigh easily...
I'm not some crazy anti-drug dude, believe me. I've never had allergies or side-effect reactions before in my life (that I've been aware of), but this drug was pure poison to my body. - and it did nothing for my hair.
The original drug is Proscar, a prostrate drug for older (and middle-aged) men. If you take it in your mid-20s whatever, there's a difference you know. I don't buy the sideeffect %-ratio for a second. Go to hairloss meds forums, they're filled with guys with sides - and very few success stories. Believe me, I've read a few.
(Yep, I'm stil lurking around here.
