Have any of you had experiences with wearing low density (55-60%) pieces with tape? My question is if the tape would show because of the light density?

My pieces are 55% and I use tape for sides back and ST30 for frontal hairline. Depending how you comb the hair the tape can be visible. With a comb forward or messy type front or even a somewhat spicky front it will be fine. There is a little bit of a shine..so what...it looks like there is a little bit of gel or other hair product on your scalp. BA saw me a few months ago with a 55% density that was all taped down. He said no one could tell and the frontal hairline looked fine.
Depends what tape you are using. Some tapes people use for the front, so anything you can use for the front, u can def use on the base, even with a low density.
Kill the shine on blue liner with two coats of white glue, smearing the second coat as it gets gooey, and it's almost undetectable. Other tapes can be used but they don't work as well.
This is much easier when you apply the tape to your head first, but I have also had success laying down some glue on the tape and then sticking it straight to the piece.
Got any, John? Or anyone else? The old Melonaid ones don't seem to capture what I think can be done at that low density, vis a vis modern styles & realism.
Thanks
