i wear my piece for a week and i've noticed that each time i shampo it and condition it ..it loses hair and volume and becomes thin i mean i cant make the hair stands for spike style and itsnt like when i first got it .!
is it ok if remove my hairpiece and do cleaning and reattatchment without shampooing and conditioning?

You can do this. However, be aware that the system is generally more "poofy" at first and will relax and lay down more after a few washings. Generally, you don't need to shampoo the system hair as often as you do your real hair. I usually average shampooing about twice a week, once with the system attached and again when I remove it. Other times I will shampoo my growing hair but not the system hair - not possible to do this perfectly but it works well enough. I will rinse the system hair in the shower, as if shampooing but using plain water only. If the hair is feeling dry I will add some conditioner.

Depending on what conditioner and/or styling products you use, these can build up in the hair over time. Also, glues and tape adhesive can break down and soak up through the lace into the hair, causing it to clump together. The only thing that I've found that works for this is to soak the system in DeSolvit or GooGone. I don't like to do this too often.

hi amed, just got thtough minor neck surgery ,yesterday, soar but alive!,you may be brushing the piece, to hard when it's wet, brush gently forward, then brush it back in section's,back, crown then front, being very carefull at the front, angle your brush so your only using the first few row's of the brush,,as for the washing and condistion, i do it on a dailey basis, after 20 plus year's of wearing , never had a real problem with shedding or fading, even with my toplace piece, ,one thing ive learned. the longer you leave it on , you may be just seeing your own hair shedding, which normal

Everything I've ever read (and what I've been doing) says to shampoo the sides of your head normally, and then to very gently spread some of the foam to the top of your head and then very gently wiggle it around.
