How Do You Defeat Dead Flat?July 30 2008 at 7:38 AM | Julian (Login wade_angler) |
| I've a Free Style Ilace with quite a bit of density and the least body wave for a comb down look.
The problem I have with it is the hair just lies dead flat, the only way I can counter that is by teasing the hairs with a comb like dames do. But even doin' that will give shape for a short while.
The reason I order Free Style is because I really don't wanna commit to a part.
So what do you gents do to defeat flat? Order differently? Get a particular base or density? A particular Style or specific ventilation?
Please share with the board tips on how you're fighting the war on flat. |

Its all about styling and some product. Hair tends to lay flatter on skin bases, but with lace, shouldn't be an issue at all if styled and has some product in it.

Wet your hair in the shower, and then when you get out, brush it so the hair stands straight up. If it won't stay straight up, apply some gel so that it will. Let it dry for a bit like that, and then (if you haven't already) apply some gel (the hair still needs to be damp when you do this) and work the hair with your fingers and a brush into whatever shape you want. You could sculpt it into the Eiffel Tower if you wanted to with gel.
If it won't stay as you want with only gel, apply some finishing spray.
