| It's the balding people you have to watch out forAugust 4 2008 at 12:45 AM | Darius (Login Darius99) |
| I never notice anyone with a full head of hair studying my hair carefully, but I notice that people who are balding seem to do it to a great degree if I pay attention to them out of the corner of my eye. I don't know whether they suspect or whether they are just envious. But I know that ever since I started losing my hair, I started checking out everyone else's compulsively, so it makes sense to expect the same from others.

Darius you are 100% spot on....I have noticed this as well....I think its envy to be honest...There are some people who have the nerve to stare at your hair even while you are talking to them in person... |

I did the same thing. I was trying to figure out if it was natural or fake. If it looked good and was fake, I wanted to buy some hair and I would bet that they are all thinking the same thing. In all honesty, even though many people (including myself) were comfortable and confident with natural baldness, very few people really prefer to be bald. There was a time when not being bald meant looking like a circus clown for the rest of your life and that just wasn't for me. As as you can see, Toplace changed all of that for most of us in here. If I notice someone staring, I usually say, "Did you have a question?", and more often than not they will say "ï'm just watching the game" a I will turn and notice the TV above my head in the bar.

this is a matter of how men go thru the balding process and have to keep the despair all to themselves
hey Dad tell me how you felt when you started losing your hair?
they investigate compulsively in their pain. Is that guy losing his hair? Is he?
when they notice a guy who's thinning or has a nice replacement on(and lets face it the best pieces show a little vulnerability) they have to check it out
just remember, guys who lose their hair become experts de facto on hair loss on other men. Is rather impossible not to obsess about it-
whenever someone cracks on a bald guy I only wish I had a little evil fairy that could go POOF! and make that guy(or gal) start to thin-not go completely blad, but thin dramatically, so they could go thru the same process a young man does when he realizes he got stuck with MPB
we can joke about it, but when I see a young dude wearing his cap too much, combing this way and that, cutting it real short, I feel his pain.
I really wish some genius would bust out a cure in a petri dish reather than becoming a million dollar plastic surgeon giving shallow women with C cups tits that they can put on the bar-
