as you know i have trouble with ripples on the front hairline when using some types of tape. I was wondering if anyone uses that re-align debbie sells, and if it is any good. I think maybe it would help me smooth out the tapes before the adhesives dry.. but does it ruin the bond any?

any input?

regards

There is a product called re-align from debby... i think its just alcohol + mineral oil as well.. (i.e. same as lace release), is this true?

well if it were the same as lace release, we'de call it lace release. your half right , Emery. the re-align , as stated in another post, is 50% isopropyl with mineral oils, the lace release is made with 99%, big difference in volume for the two very different uses of the products.
one could use 50% instead of re-align and 99% instead of lace release if they wanted to.

You can also spray plain water for this purpose. But, IMO you need to stretch the lace out as you're applying it, and if it doesn't stick you can't do it well. Putting the tapes on my scalp first solved my hairline wrinkles, I apply the piece from the front tip back, tacking it down and stretching it to each side. Once you get the tapes applied, it's pretty much exactly the same as applying with glue.
