Walker No Shine review

So I had nothing to do on Friday so I pointed the car north for a 4 hour journey to see Debbie. Ok I have now built small flaps into my unit and had a few questions for her as I am finding it a bit challenging to work with.

I have been using ST30 for the sides and back and basebond for the front. If I reattach after a week there is virtually no clean up. I have been busy/lazy and at times go three weeks. After three weeks there is clean up to be done but no worse than many other glues, about 10 minutes and I am clean and good to go. Debbie suggested the new Walker no shine tape and I was game. All votes are in and I am staying with the ST30. Now if only they would make it in contours!! Remember results may vary greatly from one individual to the next.

Walker No Shine

PROS
1. Need I say it no shine!
2. Comes in contours
3. Easy to apply right at the hairline, Debbie smoothed it out super flat, I could not feel a thing. (probably could do that with the ST 30 also)
4. Backing comes off much easier than the ST, yes I am one of those slightly challenged removing the ST backing!
5. At first it felt even tighter than the ST( again probably due to the person putting the darn thing on)

CONS
1. Felt itchy after two days, started to break down.
2. Four days glue seeping up through the lace in the front, tape oozing below the lace almost like the tape was sliding down.
3. Day five reattach, quite a bit of clean up needed on the lace, front was quite messy. tape was hard to get of my head and still felt a bit gooey after I washed my hair several times.

Again this may be the "stuff" for some, just not me.......

When you say Debbie smoothed it out super flat, I could not feel a thing.. can u elaborate a little more on any techniques she used to do that? Sometimes when i apply tape to the front hairline i get a lot of ripples.

Thats the problem i have with some tape. applying it to the lace it always wrinkles up. Im wondering if i can use one of debbies tricks if it would solve it

Xeon.... I was actually referring to the tape not the lace that she smoothed out. With some tapes you can feel a very slight bump. There was no real trick other than her pressing down with a comb and her fingers after it was on my head. I could not feel any bump from the tape, felt as flat a glue.

Typically I don't get any more lace wrinkles with tape than glue. I never get them in the front and get an occasional one in the back. I don't worry about them all that much because I don't plan on any men touching my head, and my wife doesn't plan an any girls touching my head!!

I just removed my full cap after wearing for 5 days. I had attached the lace front with the Walker No Shine Tape (WNST) and the lace sides with Blue Liner (BL). I wanted to compare the 2 tapes head to head. (By the way, I don't apply either tape to the very edge of the lace. I use glue for the quarter of an inch closest to the lace.) The result? The WNST remained on the scalp with no residue on the piece and no gummy mess at all on the scalp. In comparison, the BL was somewhat gummy but not too bad overall, certainly a bit tougher to deal with than the WNST. This new tape is a winner for me.

thanks for your reviews, guys. they are very helpful to everyone.
for the past 2 weeks, I have put free samples in every package of every order so that people could try it before spending the $6 on the tape.
I will say that honestly, most people like it alot....but I would never say that it works great for everybody, as we have read in kmbo1 review, it is not for everyone. Thanks Kmbo1 for being a good sport and trying it out for us and then for taking the time to give us all your opinion on it., thanks to all that tried it and posted in this thread and in earlier threads.
