Getting The Pouff Back !!

I'm now wearing my first piece ...
and I am going on my third day ...
just as many of you have predicted
.. the hair is starting to
'flatten out' ....

Having been born with naturally wavy,
curly hair ...I never had to worry
about 'getting body' or style in my hair ....

Heck .. I spent most of the life trying
to wrestle my hair down into a semblence
of a straight look armed with a blow dryer
and handfuls of petroleum-based gel
products ...

Now .. having the two worlds collide:
a mixture ... of my own unruly curly hair ...
and heavier layers of 'Straight' Remi
hair attached ....

My question to all you hair wearers
and those of you who grew up with
naturally 'Straight' hair ...

how do you get the body or wave into
your piece ?

I don't think you guys are wearing
curlers to bed ... or sticking your
finger into an electrical outlet
(don't try it Darius ..I'm just kidding!

to get body ..or a style to your hair

And many of the posts and convention
goers I met ...mention that for longetivity ..
one should wash the piece as little as possible ..

so I would guess that means don't let
all kinds of product accumulate ...

How about sharing some of your most
secret, hard earned styling tips that
make you the 'Master' Hair wearer
you are ....

Thanks in advance ....
And thanks for your kind comments
to this new hair wearer ...

It is still shocking to look into
the mirror ... and instead of seeing
wavy ... or NO HAIR ... seeing a shock
of thick ... healthy ...Indian hair ...

And at 2 AM each evening ... I have a
weird craving for curry and chicken
tandoori Is that normal ?

When your straightening iron arrives you'll be set for matching textures. Do you have some waxworks?

Hey MoreMane ...the Iron's in the Fire .. or .. I just burnt my thumb ! :)

September 15 2008, 6:03 PM

Just got the instrument of doom and despair ..
The Branding iron, UPSed from Amazon ...
and already burnt my thumb and scared the
bejesus out of my co-worker who caught me
in the office testing it ....

Ya gotta love these guys who manufacture these
units ... instructions included that tell you
in no less than 10 languages what
to do if the unit bursts into flames ..

But not one word how to use it ..

Moremane .. does your NATURAL hair have to
be damp, dry .. wet ... and do you move
the unit .. once .. twice ..or let it singe...

Since you have now made it known to the
list .. you are the Master Ninja of the Flat
Iron ... tell us less nobles of burnt thumb
and forefinger how to manipulate the electric
toaster on a stick .. to tame the 'curlies'
into a submissive minion !

Doesn't that sound like a lot of Krap !
