Hi, i'm having a hard time with my french SFS unit. Its just too fragile for me. I know it looks good but what do you guys recommend for a more durable base and front. I probable won't wear this SFS unit bc it's just too much work. Any recommendation for my next order would help.

I usually order french #64 with 1" SFS for frontal hairline and 1" double lace for sides and back. Its fairly durable and easier to apply as compared to an all SFS piece.
not sure I'm understanding correctly. are you saying you ordered a french lace base with a sfs front and its not durable enough for you? can you elaborate a bit on what it is you don't like about it and why you think its "too much work". this will help us to understand the issue and therefore be able to help you.

I'm sorry i meant i got an SFS all lace unit. It's too hard for me to handle with. I'm looking for something that's easy to handle for the back and sides. For the front, maybe all lace or something easier. Not really sure.
Ok, I understand now. what you have is all super fine swiss lace (sfs), it is the most delicate of all the laces. try an all french lace base and you will see it is more manageable for you.
the french lace is quite durable yet you can even use it for the front.
or another option would be to get a french lace base with just a 1" sfs front on it.

French lace is the Sherman tank of base materials. You could probably let a couple of pitbulls wrestle with it for a half hour and still wear it out to dinner that night. Hard to believe you can expose hairline with such a durable material.
I have 4 full caps on order and I decided to go with sfs for the hairline since i can get it to lay down so much easier, but the rest of the base is gonna be 100% french.
Yes, SFS is very delicate. You would get much more life out of a French lace (or #64 or whatever the heck they're calling it now) base.... I personally would not use French for a completely exposed hairline, but I do wear French lace fronts with other kinds of styles. When you want to expose completely, the French lace with SFS front is a better option, but that SFS front is going to fray and wear out pretty quickly.
French with a 2 inch SFS front is a good combination. You get the best of both worlds - durability and undetectability.
I was wearing an all psb full cap for a couple of months but I am currently in the Philippines for a few weeks and skin type fullcaps are just too hot to wear in this climate. So I switched to an SFS/French combination, held down with Duo tape around the back and down the sideburns and a Walkers No Shine contour across the front. Good for a week in this hot sweaty environment and super easy clean up and application.
