What was your first WEEK as a new hair wearer like?
How did you feel? Did you feel a personality change?
Like .. who's that guy staring back at me in the
mirror?
Did you go about your day DIFFERENTLY ?
What about in your interactions with other humans?
Your health? Did you find yourself taking other actions
... maybe toward a healthier lifestyle ... ?
What about your confidence levels ?
There are snippets of this information through
out this forum ...
But I, as well as I'm sure, would like to hear
your individual story, because I know we can all
relate to it ... and you just might say something
that makes a HUGE change to the way a hair wearer
thinks ... or to a person CONSIDERING going this
route ....
Thanks to those who step up and are brave enough
to share a piece of themselves with the rest of us.

My first time was at AHS & I had no idea what I was getting myself into! I was fooled by the sales tactics. I seriously thought I was getting a skin membrane that gradually grew strand by strand! So as you can imagine when the day came to get it on & I saw this hairy monster come out of the box I didn't know what to do! But the stylist said let me cut it & see what you think. I was still upset about it but I persisted with it. Anyways long story short, I wish I had found Toplace first but I'm here now & I've learnt alot about the industry & thats why I love companies like Toplace that do the right thing by the customer.

The first day was completely nerve wracking because the tape my stylist use didn't stick well in the 94 degree swelter, so then I had to try to figure out how to apply ST-30, which was quite a challenge without anyone to show me.
The next week or two were a bit nervewracking.
Since then it's been pretty good. Certainly much better than having to worry about rivers of green Topik + sweat running down my forehead in the summer heat, which happened last year, and caused a few people to comment on why I was sweating green. :/
I think I'd prefer to have a full head of my own hair! But this is the next best thing.

I chose the "stealth" method, I did not shave my hair on top but attached with clips in the back and tape in the front. I went out in public while wearing like this, just to judge peoples reactions, and it was a big confidence booster. I went to a club, and a slightly inebriated blonde lady came up to me at the bar. She leaned over and smelled my hair lol, then ran her fingers through it. Made me a little nervous, but luckily she didn't feel anything. Soon afterwards I shaved it off and have been wearing ever since, 4+ years now.
