I remember going to Sure Hair International and this is exactly how I felt when they told me it would cost $2000 to wear a piece for a year. BA has me hooked up for this year for a tenth of the cost.

A lot of guys fell for the slick marketing of one who shall remain nameless.
Ultra Custom was the name he used, nothing more than a lace front wig, toupee, hairpiece, unit, system, call it what you like it is all the same thing.

Yes Vin thats all they are lace front toupees, But how many were duped into buying them ? He mugged them right off for over $5,000 for 2, Unbelivable ! Sad but true.
"Whereas wigs and toupees are made of plastics, rough/thick laces, and even canvas, WHITE CLIFFS' hair systems use state-of-the-art technology. WHITE CLIFFS' Mayfair Hair System uses industry-leading surgical laces and other proprietary materials that become a literal membrane which disappears into the skin, becoming one with it-- thus being completely undetectable and natural."
See a real hair system has SURGICAL LACE! Obviously it's lace that is used by surgeons in surgery...for surgical stuff...so it's better than just plain old lace! pfffft can't believe you guys think they are all just normal lace hair pieces.... And they also use proprietary materials, which means they have some sort of mysterious unknown material which makes them special, and as consumers we do not have the right to know what we are buying and we should not question what these special unknown materials are, we should just pay the extra money and be happy with the knowledge that we have something special and different because we were told that it was the case with no actual justification...mkay!
"The front hairline of the hair system is then surgically glued onto the skin in front of your normal hairline. "
See and even the attachment methods for hair systems are different. See real hair systems aren't glued to the front hair line, they are sugically glued. I can only assume that such a surgical procedure would require general anethetic and a nurse present at all times while the surgeon applies the glue to the scalp with special surgical methods. I'm almost certain that surgeons have to take a course on how to put a brush into a bottle of glue and then wipe it onto some skin. It's a very hard process that requires a qualified surgeon to perform it, so do not try this at home!

Listen, anybody will believe a lie when it's sold to them in a nice package. Why would they lie? Why would they take thousands of dollars when it only cost them only one hundred? Because we as customers believe that these business have morals and we wanted a solution to hair loss and all we did was believe them. It's all coming out NOW that we can compare notes and know the truth.
BA, did you get screwed when you first started with wearing a hair replacement? What was your first experience? What I learned early on is that it NEVER turned out like what I thought it was going too. It looked OK and with some work from ME, looked better. They NEVER delivered what I wanted, what they delivered, I always had to fix...

Thanks for posting that Tim this is exactly the type of thing I am always balloning on about, Systems,Surgial Lace,Surgical Attachment,Ultra Custom, Blah, Blah,Blah, ITS A TOUPEE,End of.
"BA, did you get screwed when you first started with wearing a hair replacement?"
Yes mate the very first time I started wearing I paid just over 400 quid for it (Approx $1,000) in the early 1980s, They told me that I had to go back in for the maintenance and let them remove it, Load of cobblers mate, Me and my sister in law who was a hairdresser at the time removed it and I held it up like this
And thought to myself what a complete and utter mug you are,You have paid 400 quid for a piece of material with hair in it, Thats why I challenge people who have paid a daft amount of money to just hold it up like I did and justify the cost, They dont and cannot because
deep down they know they have been mugged right off, Paying more than $250 in these days with all the information available is the action of a fool, But let them get on with it, A fool and his money are easily parted.

Nice clip.
I've just watched Richard Farrell on youtube doing a Live Cut-In and talking so much crap about how his systems are the best, and he doesn't send them to China etc!
Ashame that people do get ripped off, but the Internet is amazing. There's so much research, tips, forums, advise, pictures, everything to find out there for potential wearers to look for before diving in.
When I first became serious about tackling my Hair loss. I thought of Rogaine and all those magical potions etc, but realised it was a waste of money. Transplant looks sore and I have no where near enough that amount of money to waste on it, and what happens if the back of your head balds? You're left with this weird thing with a hairline but really thin-balding hair the back.
This site is a godsent for newbee's and folk looking for advise.

You are right Dave sadly it does, But there are also some blokes who have been wearing for years who still pay way over the odds for a toupee, They have obviously not clued in yet and are still
falling for the Hair System,Hair Graft,Ultra this Ultra that nonsense.
