Same here fella, For the styles I want my syrup gives me great results.
I just cut in my new piece and will post the photos up on Monday no way would a transplant give me this result as I just dont have enough donor hair anyway.
"With the results you guys are getting there really looks like there is no need for any other procedure"
Well yes and no, We still have maintenance to do, Once the transplant is complete thats basically it. Some dont want to be bothered with maitenance,Etc, Etc.
If I was to end up looking like the guy in the 1st photo I would rather deal with the maintenance of wearing over being a scar head. He needs to shave his head and get BA to hook him up with a fullcap. I may never ever get a hair transplant
Like with this type of replacement there is also an ongoing cost with a hair transplant.I figure if i spend $500 per year for the next 20 years it will still be cheaper than a hair transplant.
I think even if I had a load of cash, I'd still avoid a Transplant. It seems result vary, and some of the scare stories would put me off, e.g that photo! and like Brendon Fraser's, but then again there's people like Rob Brydon and James Nisbett (Celtic actors) who's transplants look pretty good.
When some of us are on a budget - wearing seems a really good alternative to pain, big bills, and possibly not even a good job. Also, what happens if you get a transplant for the frontal area, but you then start balding at the crown? That'll be mighty weird looking!
A lot of wearers on here look great from all the photos, and really good. We were having a discussion about hair wearers at the weekend with some friends, and half of my friends thought that Shatner had a hair transplant and not a wig/system(whatever you fancy calling it)
Many factors and a lot of luck getting a transplant to look right.
In the old days many did not have a company like BA.Now thats all
changed and the odds favor a lace unit overall.
Hair transplants....one of the biggest regrets of my life! Oh how I wish I hadn't had them done. I hope anyone considering them REALLY takes their time and researches info. from people that have actually had them done and doesn't just buy the garbage the actual company wanting to perform it tries to sell to you!
Hi Dave, yes things have definitely come a long way...I should have mentioned that mine was done 15 years ago. However, it all depends on where you go, etc. The main thing I hope people realize is that you will have scars to some extent for the rest of your life, this is surgery after all! I could never go with a super short shave down look or shave my head like some do even if I wanted to.
It's just such a risk, once it's done it's done...if you don't like it you are stuck. Where as, if you order a piece, you can take your time and order several and find the style/density you like...totally reversible. Plus, you normally cannot achieve a good, full head of hair from transplants because of the limitations on how much donor hair there is available.
