I was "diagnosed" yesterday with PMDD. At least it has a name now. I am taking Wellbutrin, and I am okay with that if it keeps me from yelling at my kids. My doctor made a comment that I would like to run by you for some feedback. He said that I can use my birthcontrol (which happens to be the patch)without stopping that one week. This will keep the testosterone levels from dropping, and therefore, will prevent my system from turning me into the "...." from hell. Also, if I do that after a few months my period may stay away alltogether. I don't mind that at all, but I am wondering if that is good for me. Any feedback, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I will by making an appointment with my OB/GYN, and run this by her too.
