I stumbled onto this page in a search for some anwsers. I am 19 yrs old and was dignosed with PMDD about a year ago. My parents told me it was time to get treatment or move out. It was even getting me in trouble at school. I wouls simply lose it. I would also pass out, turn ghostly white and stay that way for days, throw up, and just fall to the floor, i couldnt speak or move. It didnt hit me all at once it graduately showed it's ugly face.
So i went to the doctor and was placed on prozac. The prozac did help the mood swings but it didnt help the awful month flow and cramps. I was so scared of going to the Gyn. but after a few more weeks of the pain i gave in.
Life is so much better now. I am on zoloft and othro-tri cyclen. I am a successful college student and though the guys at work do complain about the very small mood swings (usually brought on by them in the first place) my "little demon" is mostly gone.
I still don't know much about PMDD and how if effects others. Matter a fact I didnt even know what it was until the doctor told me I had it. There is help out there. You don't have to suffer! I'm happy i got help!
God bless, stay safe, don't get dead
