Hi Melanie ... and welcome
I am curious, why the Lupron? Have you been diagnosed specifically with PMDD?
Do you suffer from endometriosis or uterine fibroid tumors? Lupron has many side-effects which are unpleasant, and causes a 'menopause' effect (suppressing reproductive hormones).
If your doctor is using Lupron therapy as a treatment for PMDD specifically (and not for endometriosis or uterine fibroids) then I highly recommend you go for a 2nd opinion, as respectable medical research has shown that the cause for PMS and PMDD is not an 'abnormal response to hormonal changes' but rather an abnormal stress response, which then affects the reproductive cycle and other aspects of health. In many cases an underlying medical condition (such as endometriosis for example) can cause PMS-like symptoms to appear.
I would be interested to hear your answers, comments
