Response to Re: Natural Approach and Time
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
is basically:
Eating foods that are 'whole' (as nature intended them), i.e:
Fresh fruits
Fresh vegetables
Unpasteurized honey (rare, but great if you can find it -- don't give to young children under 3 yrs of age).
Cane sugar (brown, not white)
Legumes (peas, beans etc.)
Whole grains, i.e. whole wheat (not too much), brown rice, etc.
Nuts
Cold-pressed oils
Vinegars and vinegar dressings
Mayonnaise (real Mayo made of eggs & oil - read labels)
Drink more water than sodas and fruit juices (better to eat the fruit whole).
Whole Meats, including red meats, poultry, pork etc. etc. A little fat on these meats are healthy. (No processed meats such as cold-cuts)
Eggs, preferably free-range, but if this is not available to you it is no big deal, all eggs are healthy - they contain 99% of the nutrients a human being needs, except Vit-C.
Dairy:
Cottage Cheese
Cheeses of all kind
Sour Cream
Butter
Live culture Yoghurt (available in stores, just read labels and look for "acidophilus cultures"
Full cream unpastuerized milk is best if you can find it. Pasteurization kills off beneficial bacteria (acidophili, lactobacili) and causes digestive, and auto-immune problems. With modern dairy farming methods the real risk of getting ill from contaminated milk is almost non-existent (if not completely).
Etc. etc. etc.
The above list is just a basic guide, you can fill in the blanks. All of the foods I list above are available in your local store (with the exception of unpasteurized goods), there is no need to shop in an expensive health food store.
It is also not practical (or possible) to avoid ALL additives; food coloring, preservatives, etc. in foods -- All I'm saying is make wiser choices and eat more foods that don't contain additives than foods that do. Again, finding the correct BALANCE is the key here.
Let me know if you have any questions re. this list, or if there is something that needs more explaining.

Tara reported feeling 75% better within the first month of resuming regular exercising, and supplementing with 5-HTP. I commended her for her excellent efforts in this regard. |
