My 4 year old male has had major allergy issues his whole life. He has been on all kinds of medicines with no success and allergy shots too with no success. His stomach stays in a big swollen mess and also his back legs stay swollen from scratching so much. I have tried using malaseb wipes on his stomach and legs, vagisil wipes and also all kinds of creams from wal-mart. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I should try? The vet is lost with this and it seems like his answer to everything is giving him another round of antibiotics because his stomach is always infected which they only do good until he is finished with them and then he is back in the same mess again. He has been allergy tested and like I said he had been on allergy shots for a year with not even a little difference so the vet said just dont give them to him since it is not doing any good. I am soo frustrated and just hate seeing him scratch all the time. I would appreciate any suggestions if anyone can even think of anything else I might could try.
