I should have mentioned that also. And I agree that six Benadryl is excessive...I would expect that maybe 2 in AM and 2 again in PM would be quite sufficient.
Also, re 'skin scraping' examination (cytology) done by the vet...has he/she sent out this sample for C&S ? = (culture and sensitivity testing...sample is grown in a base medium for about ten days to determine exactly what bacteria and/or fungus is present, and at same time the exam recommends specific drugs to counter the problems present).
