I think the vet was being cautious in Rx'g the 25mg dose...either that or she didn't stock the 75mg pills (LOL) because a closer match of medication to weight would be to give him one-half of the 75mg tablet...cheaper for you, too. Maybe the 25mg dose will get the job done, tho. I have been using this medication to quiet arthritis pain for many years for my bullies and I give 50 mgs (1/2 of 100mg tablet) daily to my 60lb bulldog.
