Floyd's first vet, many moons ago, told me that one sure sign that a dog is ready leave this world (when serious ill or old) is that they lose total interest in all that they use to love.
With Friday, my sickly Cocker, I always watched for that since there were times she came pretty close to dying. She never lost interest in being outside. She did lose interest in food but not being outside or being with the family. So, I think you are right about Mocha. You have time....
