With our 1st Bully (Lucy) we started with what the breeder was using. Authority for puppies. As she matured she had shin issues and staining of the eyes. We then tried Iams, Eukanuba and Blue buffalo. Different flavors of each because we found some were more rich and caused VERY loose stools. Bear in mind this was done over a period of nine months and we went through some VERY frustrating moments. We've had good luck with anything with sweet potatoes. (I think it has some of the same properties as Pumpkin) We ended up with Taste of the Wild for her and have no staining, good stools and very few skin issues. (I think what she does have is seasonal outdoor allergies). The Puppy(Maggie) started out on Natural Balance and was switched to Taste of the wild to see if it would help with her staining.... no luck. She is on the Blue Buffalo sweet potato and has a gorgeous coat, great stools and no skin issues. It's a trial and error thing with each dog I think. I do believe that it is tied to the dogs lines (genetics) because I see puppies from one dog/bitch doing better on certain kibble and responding poorly to others.... Just my thoughts! Hope it helps.
