Variation on one Star Wars hair style...

Here's a variation I did of the "Padme Battle Hair Style" found below in the link to Star Wars hair styles. The original hairstyle looks like this:



Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to make that style without it being a bit floppy, since the top loop of her hair is pretty far away from from her head. So, I used a hairslide to do a variation of that style:

1. Make a ponytail, but on the second loop, pull hair most of the way - but not all the way - through the elastic.

2. Push the loop up so it's closer to the head.

3. Put a hair slide or barrette around the middle of the loop.

Here's a crude drawing of the process:


And, here are pictures of the finished result. In these, my ends stick out a bit because I'm still in the process of growing out badly-cut layers. One-length hair would avoid this problem.
