My favorite updo

I just wanted to share this since it is my all time favorite. It is a version of a rope braided bun. I don't have pictures of how to do it, but I'll try and explain. Pull the front portion of your hair (from the ears forward) back and make a rope braid down the length of that portion. Secure the ends with a band, then make a bun with that at the crown of your head (or farther back depending on how you want it to look). Secure with hairpins or bobby pins. Take the remaining length and rope braid that. Then wrap it around the already made bun, tuck the ends in and secure with hair pins. I like to put flowers into the bun to make it more dressy, but it is gorgeous by itself. The picture is from when my husband and I renewed our wedding vows.
