Cinnamon Bun

Okay, there hasn't been much participation on the other styles so I am going to post the simplest bun and also the one I wear more than any other - the good old Cinnamon Bun.  Whether you wrap it tight or loose, I know you ladies can do this one so please post your pics.  Here are mine:

Your versions of the cinnamon bun are just stunning!! And since you dress it up with different hair toys, who could tell it's the same old bun? Not me!

Okay, here are a few I did.

Oh,

January 14 2011, 9:34 PM

I love the one with the accent braid!  I haven't tried braiding an accent braid from the front back to the bun like that before so you have given me a new ideahighfive.gif

Thanks for the great photos.

If I did this bun, it could never compare! It would be invisible next to yours!

please post a pic. I'm sure your cinnamon bun is gorgeous [linked image]
I know, we all feel self-conscious of our hair - when I see the beautiful heads of hair here, I don't feel great about my mostly frizzy and insanely color changing updos...

Here's my attempt...

January 29 2011, 10:00 PM

Hi Lori~

I didn't want you to think that I wasn't participating in your hairstyle challenges....I just haven't been able to take pictures, as my BF was out of town for a while (but is back now...) happy.gif

Anyhoo, here is a variation of your original style: It's difficult to tell that it's a cinnamon bun, since it's braided...the texture of the braid kinda takes away from the pretty swirl that a cinnamon bun has, but it's still pretty, in it's own way. And, I get to show off one of my new sets of hair sticks that my secret Santa (LongHairedGeologist) made for me...

This bun is a bit fuzzy, because I wore it all day. The really cool thing is that I wore it all day, without figiting with my hair sticks....I'm finally starting to master how to use them properly, to hold my hair securely....yay me!

I will try to keep up with your challenges now!

I'm so glad you posted you take of the bun! It's very pretty happy.gif Keep up the good work. It took me some time before I mastered the use of hair sticks. Actually, I couldn't figure it out by myself... luckily I discovered the wealth of information the web has [linked image]

Yep...

January 31 2011, 5:52 PM

Until I found this site, I had no clue how to properly use hairsticks....

I always thought that I couldn't hold my hair with them, due to the length/thickness/heaviness, but boy was I wrong! Once I saw some of the ladies on here with their hair in beautiful styles, held only by sticks, I figured out that I should be able to do that too!

I think I finally have the hang of it now... happy.gif
