Lace Braid

Has anyone managed to do a decent Lace braid on baby fine hair that is thin in the front? I really want to do this, but it may be hopeless.

I might not be right person to answer, as I don't have fine hair. I understand your plight, though. We all want to have the look of a thicker braid. I think this video might be helpful:

I know it's not a lace braid, but I liked the way the hairdresser skillfully pulled on the sides of the braids, making them look amazing. Why wouldn't you try to do something similar? I'm sure you could also achieve a thicker looking braid with this technique.

Routine:
- NW/SO on the scalp, with periodical length
washes (Alverde birke-salbei shampoo for the length)
- brushing, scritching, preening and massaging daily
- occasional S&D trims
- trimming the ends whenever they start looking funny

That really does look great, but I can't imagine actually doing that on myself. It would take a lot of practice.

There's only one way to find out wink.gif I imagine it takes practice, but you can always try. Who knows, perhaps you will get a hang of it quickly.
