| (and I may be wrong here) that the Clavinova not only has the 88 keys, they also have the same 'feel and touch' as a regular piano. Having just weighted keys isn't enough. When you play classical music you need to be able to play a key soft or loud, and you can't get those variances with most keyboards. I believe you can with the Clavinova, again I'm only guessing here, but I think I remember hearing that. And, it supposedly doesn't "go out of tune" much.
There are such sound differences between ALL pianos, even from one grand to another!! Not to mention how well it has been tuned. My son sometimes gets tripped up if he's performing on a piano that has a different feel than he's used to -- even though it is a grand. I guess wiht some piano players it can be a touchy thing! The really great ones (like Leia) can probably do well no matter what they're playing on! Give them a kiddy keyboard and they'll sound like Mozart!
