Italeri's LCM includes 9 figures in the box. 2 gunners and driver are its own figures
while the remaining 6 infantry figures are from Dragon's. I look up the Dragon's
2004 Catalog and see that this figure set is also on sale separately as Dragon
#6211 U.S. 29th Infantry Division (Omaha Beach D-Day 1944).

Thanks for your kind compliments, Lipton!.
Since I did not build the models myself, I don't know what color my modeler used.
I guess he used industrial paints because they are cheap, then mixed them to get
the color he wanted. As for thinner, he don't use Tamiya's or Gunze's because
they're expensive. He uses industrial thinner found in hardware store.

Awww... poor me... I think I have to guess also.
I'm currently building a PAK 3.7 and I want to paint it using this tone. I'll try mixing Desert
Yellow and Buff and see if it gets close.

Thanks Zenden9 for your kind words!. The Taliban jeep is the Gaz-66 Russian
4x4 truck w/ 23mmx2 AA guns from Eastern Express. I saw it on sale in Revell's box too,
so I think it's not so rare. I have it built in many versions - Iraqi, Russian and UN version
with guns, and Russian and UN version without guns. :D

Great builds.
One question regarding the JGSDF's LAV(currently building 2 of those) it appears
that your windows are lacking the blue tint(X23), might be the photos.
If the tint is not there, may I ask if it was by design(new additional info about the actual
deployed vehicle, etc), all I am going by are the kit Instructions.

Many thanks for all your kind compliments!. Today happens to be the 6th
birthday of my Website and Model Maniac pages. I can't believe I've come
this far, taking almost 2,800 photos over the years. Thanks to all encouragement
that we (my modelers and I) received from many a modelers, most notably on this
site!.
Model Museum, I didn't do the models myself so I don't know about the blue
tint parts that you mentioned. I believe my modeler followed the kit instructions too.

Romelio, the Mexican army also have a lot of these vehicles?. Very well, I think
it's a very nice 4x4 with better armor protection and fuel efficiency than the US Hummer.
You don't have to scratch build the whole vehicle, just the body part to replace the
two backdoors, I think.

The pics of the real thing I saw showed a faint bluish tint/coating, just checked again
with the instructions there they say to tint the clear parts(windows) with Tamiya clear blue.
Maybe some form of protective coating anti-laser or similar.
Either way the build is very nice and I congratulate the modeler on it..

Model Museum, if the instructions were in writing then there was a high probability that
my modeler didn't read them, he just followed the graphic instructions.
MarianLH, it's my pleasure to know so. You may order one or two more boxes because
this kit can be built into 3 versions. I'm thinking of another version too.

and one driver by Italeri itself, and 6 infantry soldiers from Dragon

I really do NOT see the point of these incessant posts. This site exists for modellers to present
their own work - not models commissioned (for whatever reason ) by third parties.
I've said it before, and I will say it again, there is a massive amount of difference in skill,
experience and expectation from the members of this site. What holds the site together, is that
the work presented is by individuals not, as Falconbbs presents, the work of wealthy dilletantes...
I don't (nor should many others) get any Viewing Pleasure from seeing anonymous work. I do
get a kick out of seeing someone presenting their OWN work and sharing it with the rest of the site...
Falconbbs - please leave us alone. I think it's been made clear, when you present your own, o
riginal work you will be welcomed. Until that happy day arrives.....Jim

This is not the first time that jimbrae raised this question or point. He raised it the
first time late last year. Fortunately there were kind people on my side. I'm tired of
writing an affidavit defending myself, so let me quote some comments from those
kind people, as follows :

I for one love seeing the collection each time to see all the finished models.

above I would be tempted to look into purchasing the faun and the ural trucks.

I will weigh in here on this.....
Personally, I have viewed Falcon's pages with great intrest, and have enjoyed them all,
he usually has something for everyone, as for myself I go for the more modern side of things,
so some of the WWII stuff goes to waste on me, but I still appreciate the work that goes into them,
and each to their own as far as I am concerned.
From what I have read from people that know Falcon, and from his website, he has never
claimed that he built all of these, and I think that is fairly obvious, considering we get a
new page about once a month if not more frequently, now I don't know about you, but unless
I was building 8hrs a day as my profession, there is no way anyone could pump that many
out in a month or less. So having said that, he may build some, may buy some, either way,
who gives a crap???
He is offering a viewing of his kits that he either built or bought, or of those of his friends
and collegues, and he is offering all of this free of charge, and makes no claims that he has
built all of these on his own....
Now I know JimBrae isn't a citizen of the US, UK, or Canada, but I am pretty sure that Spain
has a freedom of speech act just like many other countries, and as well I am sure has a
freedom of choice act, as well like many other countries.
And all Falcon is doing is exercising his right to free speech and free choice and allowing
us to see these kits, and frankly I am glad he has.
What I am getting tired of, is people putting him down and complaining about Quote:

As I said in most countries, we have a freedom of choice, so instead of complaining about the
posts and pictures that Falcon is offering us to have a look at, please use your freedom of
choice to not look at them, and then you wouldn't have a reason to complain.
We have a saying here in NA, if you don't like it....don't look at it.
FalconBBS, keep up the post and pictures, I for one, as well as I am sure others do, look
forward to seeing them when you post them.

i for one like the idea of posting other peoples work
it gives a particular artist the chance to be seen from what ever corner of the world they hail from !
modelling is my business and livley hood so i would like to think my models,that i have sold ,
or built on commision ,will be shown around (thats why i build them ) ,and not to sit on a dusty
shelf never seeing the light of day! ,
i personnaly feel jim was a bit harsh for saying Quote:

after all it's because of a similar experience i joined armorama (because the models i showed
were just sculpted not painted) believing it to be different , i tried many sites just to be treated
with contempt and i was met with a very unfriendly attitude
,i now donate money to armorama because i believe in it so strongly, not just as a show case
for a persons "own works", but for a modelling portal for all !
this is a gathering place for for us all to share in our hobby
keep em comming Phaisal (if it's o.k. by the moderators) bought or built theyre nice work ,and it
will benefit us all, whatever our modelling prowess and or abilities ,as it always does to see
other peoples work

Kevin, there's a big barrier between my modelers and int'l online fotums, and it's language.
Apart from me, have you ever seen any other Thai participating in such forums?. I think the
chance is very slim. Anyway, all comments, suggestions and compliments concerning my
modelers' works have been translated into Thai and given to them.
