Bounty_hunter, Art Instructor used 3M spray glue to make snow on plants
and grass and used sodium bicarbonate to make snow on the vehicles & tracks.

That is a nice diorama, as always, Mr Maniac. I like the Wirbelwind. And the soldiers
are really good, their camo painted well, and probably very accurate as well. As usual,

Well, it's okay but...
1) The ground is unrealistic. It looks like a piece of weaving being placed there.
2) There is snow on the tank tank hull but none on the turret.
3) There should be a little snow on the clothes of the troopers.

The figures and armor are well built. Excellent job!
A few nitpik here and there though. The tank seems to have no illusion of weight. It sits
on top of the grass. The snow looks like an early morning frost or the weather just dropped
a thin layer. But it still kinda looks odd because the grass looks like it's painted white.
The grass looks strange too. The snow on the trees are too heavy since the ground snow
are thin. There should be a thin layer of snow on the vehicle too, including the turret, turret
interior and perhaps the barrel too. However, there wouldn't be snow on the engine deck
because it's hot. It would be wet instead. Since the snow is thin, there wouldn't be snow
on the faces of the tracks and the thread marks on the ground because it would melt. The
soldiers don't have snow on their boots or at least it should look wet. Their upper part of
their uniform and helmet should look wet also since thin snow will melt on "warm" bodies.
Well, anyway excellent job. I like the figures a lot, specially their faces.

หิมะบนหน้าสัมผัสของสายพานและร่องรอยสายพานบนพื้นเพราะว่ามันจะละลาย ตัวทหาร
ไม่มีหิมะบนรองเท้าหรืออย่างน้อยมันควรจะดูเปียก ส่วนบนของเครื่องแบบและหมวกเหล้ก

Both Tigers in my gallery are the same model.
The finished one is how it was when I bought it at WalMart. I meant to just display it and
nothing further. Then I learned that it was a late model and therefore could not be panzergray
and had to have zimmerit. "Sigh"...
I couldn't stand that, so I took the whole thing completely apart, sanded the color off as much
as I could, used paintstripper on the metal parts (the hull) and now I am slowly buidling it
back together again. the whole project totally inadvertandly got me back to scale modelling.
I emigrated to the USA 5 years ago and left all my scale model material behind.
Now I bought a new airbrush on E-bay, a new dremel tool, paint, burshes, decal solvent....
you name it..All because of this damn Tiger!

โลหะ (ตัวถัง) และตอนนี้ผมกำลังประกอบชิ้นส่วนมันอย่างช้าๆ เพื่อให้เป็นคันตามเดิม โครงการทั้งหมด
ทำให้ผมเลี่ยงไม่ได้ที่ต้องกลับมานั่งทำโมเดลอีกครั้ง ผมอพยพไปอยู่สหรัฐอเมริกาเมื่อ 5 ปีมาแล้ว และทิ้ง

What an awesome model.
I have been looking for the Tamiya Tiger 1/16, but they are so darn expensive.
You mentioned that this is a Heng Long Tiger? for the relatively low price of $50?
I GOT to look into that..I want it!!
Is it possible to decribe how you managed to achieve that type of weathering?
To me that is perfect. No rust, cause that steel didn't rust so well at all in fact.
It is obviously used, but it is all so subtle!
Different shades...chipped paint..dark edges..man..I love it.
That;s what I want to achieve as well..

You mean it's already painted gray when you bought it at Walmart?, was it
first hand or second hand tank. Anyway, you're on the right track, let me know
and see how you'll finally finish it. All the tools you've bought will be good for
all your future projects.
I hope you'll be able to find the Heng Long Tiger because it gives most bang
for the buck. I can't describe the weathering processes because I didn't do it
myself, it's "Art Instructor" (my modeler) who did that. Anyway, he once wrote
an article on "Making of the Famo and Sd.Ah.116" which I translated into English :

I forgot to answer tigerman's question about how many I have completed. Well, I completed
a few hundred armors myself in the far past, but none of them is worth mentioning or showing.
It's the work of "Art Instructor" (my most productive modeler) that's interesting. He has
completed some 300 armors and dioramas for me during the past 5-6 years (he also built
a few planes and ships), as evidenced in the following menu :

"Art Instructor" (my modeler) used 3M spray glue to make snow on grass and plant,
and used Sodium Bicarbonate to make snow on the tank and tracks.

Jurrie , yes, the first two kits are Dragon kits, I think one of them included the railtrack
and both of them included figures. The Panzerspawagen included 4-5 tank officers
and the Flatbed included the machine gun set figures. Dragon also sells railtrack
separately. The same modeler who built all these kits has also built other German
WWII railway artillery including Panzerspawagen (Kommandowagen), Platformwagen,
the Leopold and the Morser Karl on railway transport carrier. Please locate them in
