Have you noticed that new pages are coming up very quickly this month? In fact this is the fourth consecutive page in just a few days time! Do you wonder why and how come?
I have a story to tell, it's an unbelievable coincidence. You see I have four permanent modelers and one visiting modeler. Some build fast and some build slow, some build much and some built little, and starting time differ a lot. But then all four permanent modelers came to deliver their job one day each for four consecutive days!
1. Starting from "Art Instructor" who I commissioned 4 armors and 2 dio's since 6 April 2009. They took him over three weeks and he delivered them all on 30 April 2009. On that day I got a call from "Niphon" that he'll deliver his works the next day.
2. "Niphon" who I commissioned Academy's F/A-18D 1:32 and Italeri's Elco 80' Torpedo Boat 1:35 since 6 April 2008. They took him over a year to complete and he delivered them on 1 May 2009. On that day I got a call from "Joh" that he'll deliver his works the next day.
3. "Joh" who I commissioned 3 small dioramas (Rigid Landing from Master Box, German Gebirgsjager WWII and Soviet Sniper Team WWII from Zveda) and 2 standalone figure sets (Mini Art and Zvezda's Russian Tank Crew WWII) since 4 April 2009. They took him almost a month and he delivered them on 2 May 2009. I don't get any call on this day.
4. "Toom" (A.I.'s big brother) who I commissioned Dragon's USS Cushing DDG-985 1:350 w/ inbox PE rails and Tamiya's German Steyer 1500A/01 + Tamiya's Steyr 1500A PE Grille Set + VP's Steyr Radio & Command Upgrade Set - I usually don't buy aftermarket products but this kit I bought second-handed complete with the sets for less than $30) since 21 December 2008. They took him over 4 months to finish and he called me today morning (3 May 2009), saying he'll deliver his works in the afternoon. He did deliver them - both very well done.
So that's the way it happened. I think this kind of coincidence will happen only once in a life's time. The results are good for you all, because I can readily present you with four new pages (parts) in four consecutive day as well! Starting from Page 47 - Part A showing A.I.'s works on 4 May, Page 47 - Part B showing Niphon's works on 5 May, Page 47 - Part C showing Joh's works on 6 May and Page 47 - Part D showing Toom's works on 7 May (Joh & Toom each has built 4-5 pieces earlier, all unshown). Models cover all three dimensions - land, air and sea.
It's my pleasure to announce that Model Maniac Page 47 - Part D is now available! In this Part, there are models of all dimensions - Air, Sea and Land - on show, as follows:
