I love seeing Chinese cities. They remind me of Sim City, in a good way of course. All these sky scrapers that have gone up and are going up, are all futuristic looking. Very impressive stuff.
miracle
You call it a miracle? Meaning it shouldn't happen under the wise Chinese leadership and diligent Chinese labor?
To me it's totally normal. Calling it a miracle is an absolute insult to us. We're once the richest and most advanced, it's only normal for us to wake up from our long slumber and rise up again.
"Let them hate us, so long as they fear us" - Caligua
Chill out yue fei, I don't think he meant that as an insult...
Now that China has beautiful high tech cities, the only things that still needs to be done, is to close down the remaining polluting industries which produce smog or water pollution and replace with cleaner tech or service industries, and to develop a high speed mass transit system to connect every major city together.
How cool would China's cities be if you go from one major city to any other via a 300km/hr+ national rail network?
For climate-I loved Qingdao most
For the people-I liked Ningbo most(people are very soft and gentle)
For beautiful natural sceneries-I liked Guilin most (although everywhere I visited were so beautiful)
For the foods-I liked HK most
China is changing very fast and is now developing her western region. Who could ever thought that Hothot city from inner mongolia region would be so modern as well as Urumqi in Xinjiang Autonomous Region. Anyway here is another important modern high tech project being built The Macau Zhuhai Honkong Bridge:
Royal blade (Login Royalkukhri) Satyameva Jayate(India)
Anyone got an image of the spiral overpass near Shanghai's people's square? I remember riding under that and thinking "holy crap, this is like one of those futuristic cities in Japanese anime."

very beautiful! Once thing I love about China is the fact that the government sees to it that every city has at least one developed area where there are tall skyscrapers. I've been to most of those cities in the last five years, and my guess is that either the cities got alot cleaner, or the photographers have done an excellent job =)
another little known fact is that Taichung has more skyscrapers than Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan because Taipei was already too cluttered with old infrastructure to really have new buildings. For the cities within Taiwan, check out:
1.Taichung city
2.Tainan city
3.Shinchu city
4.Kaoshiung city
5.Chayi city
6.Keelung city
7.Taipei city
Keep in mind that these 7 cities are representative of all Taiwan because the island as a whole only has 7 cities, and 90% of the people live in them.
