LAHORE
A YOUNGSTER killed his father for admonishing him for demanding motorbike on Friday in Township police area.
The accused was identified Junaid Ahmed, 18, a bachelors student and the only son of his parents.
The police said that Junaid shot his father five times, who died on the way to hospital. The victim Ghulam Farid, 50, a resident of 6-A II Township, was an electrician.
His son Junaid had been demanding to buy a motorbike as his friends had the same. Jameel, a relative of Farid, said that Ghulam Farid had been asking his son that he would purchase a motorbike whenever he had enough money. He said on Friday the situation turned critical when Ghulam Farid slapped his son over his improper behaviour.
He said on this, the accused shot his father. He said his mother and two sisters were also present at the house at that time but the accused did not give enough time to them to stop him from killing his father.
He said upon listening shots and cries of Ghulam Farids family, many people rushed to their house and found him critically injured lying in a pool of blood. The locals rushed him to the hospital but he could not survive, he said.
The Township police said that on the complaint of Najma, the wife of the deceased, an FIR had been registered under murder charges against Junaid. They said raids were being conducted to arrest him. The body has been shifted to the mortuary for autopsy.
