Islamabad, Nov 15(ANI): Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has asked the international community to write off the country's 55 billion dollars foreign debt, saying that it has already spent 140 billion in fighting and eliminating terrorism.

Addressing the Pakistan Development Forum (PDF) in Islamabad, Malik said: "We are passing through difficult times and international community should come forward to our help".

The Minister further said that the international community must realize that the war on terror is being fought to protect the world and to promote global peace.

"Those who cannot fulfill their obligations have no right to say 'do more' either," the Nation quoted Malik, as saying.

He also reminded that safety and security in Pakistan and Afghanistan was linked to international peace and harmony and both the South Asian countries should be strengthened economically. (ANI)

I have an idea, ca;; me crazy, but why not call off everyones debt and start over. Just like in golf (mulligan) i think is the term.

Well lets call off Canada's debt because they are fighting for the cause of "Terror' here is a good one lets write of American Trillion dollar debt, as they fight alot of terror with big guns and expensive ammo.

Like most 3rd world countire they spend on war toys and spend on thier friends cars and houses.

Get your house in order.

This not Haiti, and other countries that really need help
