its allright, I started this before the elections, I wanted to see what photos show up, what errors I have, when the election bs is over it can serve as something one can search for and use as a reference.

Besides 90% these so called weapons are obsolete, outdated and inferior.

Once the regime change happens in Iran and the sanctions are lifted, watch quality of Iranian made weapons drastically improve then happy.gif

excellent thread adverse I missed this before, question can the 2nd sniper rifle that you couldnt ID be the Steyr 50 HS austrian sniper rifles that Iran purchased?

hard to tell on the picture the color is different but it could been colored for camo?

I am wondering If you look at the man in the ghillie suit (sniper cammo) You will see a smaller rifle, certainly not as long as the svd.

The other thing Is the butt looks different not just color, with a weapon system like the steryr .50 simply changing the butt would throw off the dynamics and accuracy of the weapon, as everything is made to a high precision.

Perhaps Iran absorbed a small amount of the steryr rifles and designed a weapon around the dshkm round?

after viewing all you guys build I am literaly stunned by the vastness and scale of your development.

I wonder if it still cant be SVD the first picture since the rifle is held at an angle maybe showing a shorter length also arent there some shorter versions of SVD? for example isnt SVU the improved version that the russians use supposed to be shorter in length?

The second rifle you are right it isnt steyr 50 when I look closer it just doesnt fit, perhaps it is a reverse engineered rifle based off the steyr like you say.

Because of the 8 year war Iranian gov realized that during wartime they need to be able to manufacture most of their needs, often our equipment became useless due to lack of spare parts it is a good move to see them trying to manufacture weapons in all fields I see self sufficiency as a very positive move.
