Iran's top legislative body on Monday confirmed Ahmadinejad's election victory.

Defeated presidential election candidate Mehdi Karoubi said he did not see the government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as "legitimate", a statement posted on his party's website said.

The statement of the defeated cleric, who finished fourth in the disputed June 12 election, was published.

Iran's top legislative body on Monday confirmed Ahmadinejad's election victory and dismissed opposition complaints of irregularities.

"I don't consider this government as legitimate and I will continue my fight ... using every means and I'm ready to cooperate with pro-reform people and groups," said Karoubi's statement, which was posted late on Tuesday.

Karoubi certainly seems to have more guts than the other leaders.

@Kia

Going from memory here, he stinks as well. When he was speaker of the house one of the very first opposition newspaper wrote about his son's unbelievably lavish wedding. I think he also own "Kaleh" company who nowadys is one of the biggest producers and distributors of dairy products. If true, how he got to own a multi million company from nowhere is a relevant question to ask
