IKCO Unveils First National Diesel Engine


IKCO unveils its first national diesel engine for passenger cars in November 17, at the sixth International Conference on Internal Combustion Engines (November 17-19).


Najmeddin, IKCO CEO in this regard said, We have designed and produced national diesel engine in order to bring diversity to the fuel portfolio of passenger cars.
Referring to the engines high rank in global standards such as emission, consumption and power Najmeddin said that diesel passenger cars would go into mass production by 2012.

Iran Khodro is in trouble and I am not sure if this would help IKA out of its financial problems.

Diesel engines are no solution for Iran. As if gasoline engines didn't pollute enough. I would concenrate on hybrib and eletric cars.

No now they have diesel engines and Natrul Gas engines. IHeard that IKCO made an Electric car years back but it was just a small protoype.

Hopefully Ikco moves it R&D to Elctric cars because that is the future of all automobiles. Not to mention Irans polluted air needs it desperatly.
