MP: Iran Missile Technology Helped Boost Irans Image in the World
Monday, 23 July 2012
Spokesman for Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said that manufacturing long-range missiles by relying on Iran's scientific and technological capabilities helped upgrade Iran's overall capabilities in the world, IRNA reported.
Referring to the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi in Majlis (Parliament) on Sunday, Seyyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said that the defense minister submitted a report on the latest developments and achievements in the defense field to Majlis on Sunday.
"General Vahidi briefed the lawmakers on the latest situation regarding purchase of Russian-made S-300 missiles. He said that after Russia refrained from delivering the S-300 anti-missile missiles to Iran, the Defense Ministry also called for returning the sum of money that Iran had paid to Russia," he added.
Naqavi Hosseini pointed out that Iran's Defense Ministry started manufacturing long-range missiles afterwards by relying on the country's scientific, technical and technological capabilities which was also successful.
The lawmaker noted that the Defense Ministry further said that General Vahidi reiterated that his ministry managed to thwart the recent cyber attacks by the enemy against Iran's facilities by making use from Iran's technological capacities.
"The chief aim of all government is to preserve the freedom of the citizen. His control over his person, his property, his movements, his business, his desires should be restrained only so far as the public welfare imperatively demands. The world is in more danger of being governed too much than too little.
It is the teaching of all history that liberty can only be preserved in small areas. Local self-government is, therefore, indispensable to liberty. A centralized and distant bureaucracy is the worst of all tyranny.
Taxation can justly be levied for no purpose other than to provide revenue for the support of the government. To tax one person, class or section to provide revenue for the benefit of another is none the less robbery because done under the form of law and called taxation."

@TuAF35LightningII
what the hell this thread has to do with Istanbul or Turkey ?
You know in school when a kid tells a story about something, than there is the other kid with a deep inferiority complex who has to interrupt the first kid and starts telling anyone how cool he is, how many girls are after him and more .. seeking attention....
That second kid is you TUAF35lightningII.

Who cares about ''image'' ? Turkey and Turks are known for cheap holidays,kebab and mobile telephone shops. Iran will always be remembered as ''the terrible country but with the friendly people''. People wise Iranians are above Turks if you like to push your image status. Iranian peoples abroad have a penchant with sucking up to other peoples. Especially being a scattered people who don't form communities.

From the article posted above by the OP, it would appear that the only person claiming anything about "boosting image", is the writer of this Turkish news article, in the title.
The article content instead, quotes IRNA (as highlighted above), mentioning an upgrade in capabilities.

If you had bothered to read what I wrote and to check the link, you would have seen that; it is the journal of Turkish Weekly that labeled their article this way, not Provost.
